In a significant move to dispel myths and promote the adoption of smart meters in the state of #Gujarat, Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat, installed smart meter at his residence in Vapi. In a special programme, he highlighted that #smartmeter installation is free of cost and contributes to national development by providing accurate daily electricity consumption data via a mobile app. Contrary to misconceptions, smart meters do not increase electricity bills. Instead, they ensure precise consumption tracking, empowering consumers to manage their electricity usage efficiently and save money. The leadership team at CyanConnode, led by John Cronin and Heather Peacock, had the honour of meeting the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, to discuss opportunities for enhancing the state’s energy infrastructure and digital transformation. With almost a Million #smartmeters in Madhya Pradesh already operating on CyanConnode’s communication network and consistently delivering SLAs, we have been the largest and most successful partner in the state’s smart metering journey since 2018. We look forward to contributing to the state’s sustainable development goals. Our discussions focused on deploying IoT-enabled smart solutions across electricity, water, gas, and smart cities, along with initiatives to promote Make in India by exploring manufacturing opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Our EVP Software, Dushyant Singh, participated in the panel discussion on 'Trends and Technologies of the Future' at the 10th edition of Metering India by Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA). During the conversation, he highlighted two critical aspects shaping the energy industry: #cybersecurity and #interoperability. On cybersecurity, Dushyant emphasized the importance of robust, multi-layered protection to safeguard smart energy networks. He outlined the role of advanced encryption protocols, regular security audits, and compliance with global standards in ensuring network security. On interoperability, he discussed the need for systems that can communicate seamlessly across diverse technologies and devices. While interoperability is essential for future-proofing smart grids and integrating multiple meter types and communication technologies, he highlighted the need to balance these requirements with maintaining SLAs. As the energy sector moves towards smarter, more connected systems, cybersecurity and interoperability remain foundational to its success. Our Chairman, John Cronin, was honoured to meet with Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, and his delegation in London as part of the #RisingRajasthan Investor Summit Roadshow. Discussions focused on how CyanConnode can help scale #smartmetering projects in the state to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. As part of this engagement, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with key officials to ensure integrity in the smart metering bidding process and promote the adoption of advanced, certified technologies in Rajasthan. With over 400,000 smart meters already communicating on CyanConnode’s network in Rajasthan, consistently exceeding all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), we remain committed to supporting the state's initiatives. Our wholly-owned subsidiary, DigiSmart Networks Pvt. Ltd., is also registered in #Rajasthan, and the MoU was signed between DigiSmart and the Rajasthan government.
