Rest in Peace, Benji We're heartbroken to announce that Benji passed away on November 29, 2024. He was our first paralyzed dog, rescued in 2018. Benji's journey began when he was struck by a vehicle, left fighting for his life on the highway. We took him in, and despite his paralysis, his spirit remained unbroken. With love and care, Benji flourished, radiating happiness and maturity. He was a patient and gentle soul, loved by all the pups who adored playing and snoozing with him. Benji may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten. He leaves behind a lasting legacy and a void in our hearts. Run free, brave boy. You'll always be a special part of CSI and our memories. Shaina - The Water Lily Shaina was abandoned in May 2016, along with her identical sibling, when they were just 2 months old. They were left sitting in the middle of the road, confused and unsure of what to do. Both were rescued and first ones to be taken to a car junkyard. But within a week, Shaina's sibling was run over by a car. Shaina is one of the 8 rescued kids and the reason for CSI's inception in 2018. She is a sweet girl with the attitude of a princess. She loves being around people, being cuddled, and being independent. She's not big on food or treats, but loves looking at everything from a high place. Shaina loves the rain and prefers being dirty than be white. She loves, sitting in water and demands belly rubs. She's extremely friendly with humans, dogs, and kids. Shaina is now 8 years but doesn't look like one. Despite being sweet, friendly, cute, and cuddly, we couldn't find a family to adopt her when she was a puppy. Shaina is a permanent senior resident of CSI family. You can still passively adopt her and spend time with her at the shelter. Chuhiya' - Chota Packet, Bada Dhamaka Do you remember Bulbul's rescue story? When we saved Bulbul after an accident, she had a 1.5-month-old puppy by her side - Chuhiya. Assuming Chuhiya was Bulbul's baby, we cared for them together. But as Bulbul recovered, she started rejecting Chuhiya. We separated Chuhiya and introduced her to our shelter dogs. She instantly fit in, playing with the big dogs. Chuhiya is a bubbly, happy girl full of positive vibes. Her playful personality shines! This little bundle of joy looks like a tiny rat (just like her name!) but has a fearless attitude and cuteness overload! Oreo's Story At just 2 months old, Oreo's life took a dramatic turn. A passerby reported her accident, and we rushed to her rescue. Severe spine compression left Oreo unable to stand and glycoma in one eye. She lay panting in the scorching sun, shocked and helpless. With love, care, and treatment, Oreo miraculously stood up - wobbly at first, but growing stronger each day. Oreo's journey hasn't been easy. Extremely shy around humans and dogs, she selectively plays with those she trusts. This quiet, trouble-free girl may take time to open up, but we prioritize her happiness and safety. White and Willy's Story White and Willy were just 1.5 months old when tragedy struck. They were hit by a vehicle together just like our Mia & Tia sisters. Willy was badly hurt and fell into a coma. She couldn't move or open her eyes. We had to feed her by hand. White was also hurt, but she was awake. She couldn't stand up and was very scared. She would vomit and then snuggle up next to Willy to sleep. For days, we worried about Willy's chances of survival. But then, she woke up! She started responding and slowly recovering. White also started getting better. She began standing up, limping, and moving around. Just when we thought they were out of danger, disaster struck again. Both White and Willy caught Parvovirus and fell sick. But these little fighters didn't give up. They recovered, and today they're healthy and happy. Now, at one year old, White and Willy are adorable and full of love. They're almost identical, and their bond is unbreakable. Their names suit them perfectly - White and Willy symbolize peace and playfulness. We're grateful for their second chance at life and happy to share their incredible story.
