Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller with extensive experience in finance, particularly within Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and internal control policies. As a Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial management aspects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations: Manage billing, accounts receivable/payable (A/R, A/P), general ledger (GL), cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
Budget & Forecasting: Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare timely monthly financial statements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Technical Accounting: Research technical accounting issues for compliance and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Quality Control: Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Team Leadership: Manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are in place.
Additional Duties: Perform other controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
Certification: CA certification preferred.
Financial Statements: Proven experience in creating and managing financial statements.
Software Skills: Excellent user and administrative skills in accounting software.
General Ledger: Solid understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Leadership: Ability to manage and lead teams to ensure appropriate financial processes.
Ethics: A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace.
