👉 77 million in India have diabetes 👉 An alarming 1 in 6 adults are estimated to be pre-diabetic. 👉 This makes India the diabetes capital of the world. 🌿 Diabetes is so common, that we tend to take it lightly and we don’t realise the toll it takes on our health - from neuropathy to kidney issues to eyesight. Not to mention that Diabetes orginates from underlying causes like insulin resistance (caused by unhealthy diet), sedentary lifestyle which lead to other metabolic conditions like - 1.High Triglycerides 2.Hormonal issues like PCOS 3.Fatty Liver If you are Diabetic or Pre-Diabetic - it’s time to take CHARGE of your health! You can reverse this condition, and live a diabetes free life. The solution might be simpler than we think. Here are 5 MUST FOLLOW principles- 1. PROTEIN RICH BREAKFAST 2. PROTEIN IN EVERY MEAL 3. EAT MORE FIBER 4. EAT HEALTHY FATS 5. INCREASE YOUR ACTIVITY LEVELS Despite the abundance of vegetables and plant-based protein options in India, many families still rely heavily on carb-rich meals. The common misconception is that managing diabetes is only about cutting sugar, but it’s also about increasing protein intake and improving physical activity. In most Indian households, meals are centered around rice, roti, and dal—nutrient-rich but often served in large portions, leading to blood sugar spikes. Managing diabetes isn’t just about reducing carbs; it’s about balancing macronutrients and ensuring every meal includes protein. A protein-rich breakfast—eggs, yogurt, or even a bowl of dal—sets the tone for the day and helps control blood sugar levels. Adding more plant-based proteins, like lentils, chickpeas, or paneer, to each meal can help stabilize glucose levels, while lean meats like chicken or fish support overall health. The key to managing—and even reversing—diabetes and pre-diabetic conditions is not just diet but also increasing physical activity. Our grandparents had physically demanding routines, which helped maintain their health. In today’s world, balancing smart dietary choices with regular exercise is crucial for managing diabetes. By incorporating more protein into every meal, focusing on healthy fats, and staying active, we can take control of our health and combat diabetes the right way. This World Diabetes Day, let’s focus on making simple, effective changes! The right diet, paired with an active lifestyle, can make diabetes and pre-diabetic conditions completely curable. #DiabetesAwarenessIndia #IndiaDiabetesCapital #diabetesfreeindia #TakeChargeOfYourHealth #ReverseDiabetes #healthstartup #HealthyDiabetesManagement #EatSmartMoveMore #healthtech

Feeling acidity and heartburn? And blaming that delicious, spicy meal? Well here are some lesser-known factors that are making your GERD / acid reflux worse: Let's break it down: 🍕Obesity: Excess weight can put pressure on your stomach, leading to acid reflux and heartburn. 😠Stress: High-stress levels can increase stomach acid production, triggering acidity and other digestive issues. 🛋️Lack of Physical Activity: Inactivity can slow down digestion, causing food to sit in the stomach longer and increasing the likelihood of acid reflux. 🏋️♀️Excessive weight lifting: Intense weightlifting can strain the abdominal muscles and increase intra-abdominal pressure, contributing to acid reflux. 🤰Pregnancy: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can relax the lower oesophagal sphincter (LES), allowing stomach acid to rise into the oesophagus. Laxatives and antacids may provide temporary relief, but they're not permanent solutions. Understanding these factors can help you make informed choices for better digestive health. Remember, small changes in diet, lifestyle, and stress management can make a big difference! 💪 #heartburn #guthealth #aciditycauses

Hi I’m Mitali Kalra , founder of AIKA Health Today I want to share the story behind starting AIKA Health!✨ About 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOD. The doctor gave me medicines, but I was very uncomfortable with the idea of taking medicines which had so many side effects. So, I started learning about health and wellness on my own. I changed my diet and lifestyle, and to my surprise, my symptoms went away in a few months!🧘♀️ This experience showed me the power of addressing the root causes of health problems rather than just treating the symptoms. Inspired by my own journey and the struggle I saw around me - friends, family members dealing with several health issues for which they had no idea how to solve, except be dependent on medicines - I founded AIKA Health to offer holistic health solutions for chronic health diseases.💪🥗 At AIKA Health, our mission is to help people improve their lives by identifying and addressing the root causes of their health issues. We aim to reduce the use of medications that only mask symptoms and often cause additional problems. Instead, we provide safer, more effective treatments through a step-by-step approach, delivered via online platforms.👩⚕️❤️🩹 Join us at AIKA Health as we help people transform their lives by addressing the root causes of their health issues!. #Femalefounder #guthealthstartup

It's not your fault if you feel confused about what to eat or not—the advice these days can be overwhelming! The struggle for good Gut health is real. It can be challenging to understand what to eat and what to avoid for optimal health. Should you eat low-fat or high-fat? What’s the best protein? What about dairy, fruit, nuts, and seeds? What’s the best time? Soaking or no? It seems like every "expert" has a different opinion. Recently, we came across this issue while hosting a webinar at CoinDCX - where we saw such a huge number of questions from the audience - on Gut health, Diet confusions, lifestyle habits, and more! The questions that came in showed us how much confusion people face daily! “Can I eat mango if I want to lose weight?” 🍋 “How can vegetarians fulfil their protein requirements?” 🌱 “What can I eat to manage my acidity issues?” 🔥 These aren’t just isolated queries; they represent a widespread struggle to navigate health advice and latest “diet trends”. Most of us are grappling with conflicting information and a lack of clear guidance. It’s a stark reminder of how essential it is to cut through the noise and provide clarity in an era of information overload. What are your thoughts on the amount of dietary advice out there?.Comment below! Mitali Kalra Priyanka Chitkara

Hey everyone! We see a lot of people with gut issues, anxiety, fatigue happening together. One common factor - Magnesium deficiency. Did you know that Magnesium is one of the most important micronutrients in our body? It plays a very important role in many functions like energy production, digestion, muscle movement, nerve function, mood regulation, and structuring your bones and teeth. If you are experiencing, ✅ Loss of appetite ✅ Nausea and vomiting ✅ Fatigue and weakness ✅ High BP ✅ Muscle spasms ✅ Sleepiness ✅ Constipation ✅ PMS cramps Then you might be suffering from Mg deficiency. Magnesium plays a very important role in maintaining our gut health as well. Mg is involved in completing almost every step of digesting our food by producing enzymes and also draws water into the intestines, which softens and increases the size of the stool. This helps to make stools easier to pass and prevent constipation. There are various causes of Mg deficiency some of which are: 👉🏻A low Mg diet 👉🏻Taking too many antacids /PPI and antibiotics also prevent the absorption of Mg as it messes with the pH of stomach 👉🏻Gut issues like IBS, leaky gut, Crohn’s disease, celiac and food intolerance 👉🏻Type 2 Diabetes 👉🏻Diarrhea 👉🏻Lack of stomach acid and gut inflammation Magnesium deficiency and gut health are very closely connected, and having good magnesium levels in your body is critical to repairing your gut. Do you also take antacids for quick relief to treat your acidity?😐 Well! Then you better stop having these immediately. Antacids/PPIs are the most commonly prescribed medication to treat acidity and everyday we see a lot of our patients taking these. Not aware of the fact that they are negatively affecting their health. For most people, the painful burning sensation in the chest that comes from heartburn is just an occasional mild annoyance. But for those who experience it on a regular basis, uncontrolled heartburn & acid reflux can turn into a very serious problem. And taking antacids to treat heartburn on top of that can do much further damage in the long run. Antacids have been proven to cause damage to your organs and also disrupt the normal acidic pH levels of the stomach, which can cause more indigestion. If you're struggling with acidity often, you need to immediately find the root cause of it and work on your diet and lifestyle. Rather than having pantosec, Digene, or Pan D! 💌DM to book your consultation with our gut health experts. ❤️Like and follow for more such content. #healthylifestyle #healthyliving #healthylife #guthealth #gutfriendly #happygut #guthealth #aika #aikahealth #bloated #guthealing #bloating #constipation #heartburn #aikahealth #acidity #antacid #acidityrelief #aciditytips #acidityproblem #aciditycure

Recently we've been organising Gut Health Pop-Up events at Corporate offices and Coworking spaces like SPACETIME WeWork India and INNOVA8, and that got us to observe a lot of diet patterns that show there is still a LOT of lack of awareness. Engaging with people in these working environments highlighted some common trends. Here are the three harmful patterns we saw: 1. Irregular Meal Timings ⏰: Skipping meals or eating at odd times because you’re burdened with work can totally mess up your digestive system. But don’t stress! By planning your meals and snacks ahead of time, even on your busiest days, you can avoid acidity, bloating and keep your energy levels high . 2. Underestimating the Impact of Stress 😣: Work stress is a culprit that can mess with your gut health. When you're constantly stressed, it can affect the quality of your sleep and lead to issues like IBS, diarrhea, acidity, and other digestive troubles. Since our gut and mind are connected, it's important to manage stress. One should try adding fun stress-busters like mindfulness, taking regular breaks, and staying active throughout the workday. 3. Imbalanced Plate 🍽️: A balanced diet is key to maintaining a healthy gut, but we found people generally have carb heavy meals for eg. chapati with arbi/potatoes which lack in protein and fibre. This can lead to gas and bloating – definitely not pleasant! To avoid such issues one should aim to fill their plate with a variety of veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains, even when they are busy with work. #gut-health
