Check the Full Conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gabUuWBJ Here are some of the highlights from the conversation: 𝐀 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 GSEM is a pioneering body in India, handling everything from policy formulation and investor facilitation to approvals and incentive disbursal. With Gujarat bagging four out of five India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) projects, the state is setting a benchmark for seamless execution. 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 To address challenges in growing the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, GSEM emphasizes robust infrastructure and skilling initiatives. Notably, the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at PDEU is an excellent model for nurturing talent, with plans to establish more CoEs across the state. 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬 Under the Gujarat Semiconductor Policy 2022-27, subsidies are tailored specifically for ISM-approved projects. The state has demonstrated its efficiency by approving Tata Electronics' $11 billion project in less than 24 hours! 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚? Dholera, designated as a ‘Semicon City,’ boasts world-class infrastructure, uninterrupted power supply, and cutting-edge facilities tailored for semiconductor manufacturing. It’s part of Gujarat’s larger vision to create decentralised industrial hubs across the state. 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 With committed investments of ₹1.24 trillion ($15 billion) in the semiconductor sector, Gujarat is set to generate 53,000 jobs, directly and indirectly. This growth will drive self-reliance under ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and significantly contribute to the state’s GSDP. Gujarat’s focus on speed, innovation, and collaboration is redefining the semiconductor manufacturing landscape, positioning India as a global hub.
