Checking out Some Innovative Companies in Lisbon✨ Over 30 delegates from Sands China’s Macao Technological Innovation Exploration in Lisbon visited three innovative tech companies Nov. 14. They got to explore Lisbon’s innovative spirit and add to their learning, explore partnership opportunities🤝, and participate in meaningful exchange. Initiatives like this can help local tech companies learn more about the industry’s latest trends, laying a solid foundation for Macao to build a technological exchange platform. They visited: • Sensei Tech: A European pioneer in autonomous retail technology that builds autonomous shopping experiences using cameras, weight sensors and proprietary AI algorithms that generate unique retail insights for businesses. • Outsystems: A low-code application development platform that helps companies build and scale apps quickly and efficiently with minimal coding • Unicorn Factory: A Portuguese initiative designed to support and scale high-potential start-ups, helping them reach unicorn status (US$1 billion valuation) #SandsChina #MacaoInnovation #WebSummit2024 #TechExploration #Innovation

Discovering an Innovative World of Technology🌟 The participants in Sands China’s Macao Technological Innovation Exploration in Lisbon fully immersed themselves at the two-day Web Summit in Lisbon recently – an annual technology conference that gathers world-class experts, innovators, business executives and cultural icons with an attendance of 70,000 participants from 150 countries. Over the last couple of days, they explored cutting-edge ideas, fostered connections with global leaders and innovative start-ups, and learned about key trends with a focus on artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, and new approaches to innovation💡. With the inspiring breakthrough technology highlighted at the Web Summit, the group cannot wait to discover what’s ahead on their journey. This initiative serves to expand Macao’s role as a Sino-Portuguese platform, contributing to Macao’s economic diversification. Embarking on Technological Innovation Exploration ✨ Off we go – here we are in Lisbon! Over 30 delegates representing 17 DSEDT-certified Macao enterprises embarked on a five-day Macao Technological Innovation Exploration in Lisbon on Nov. 11. The exploratory visit is in line with the Macao government’s initiative to spearhead technology-driven smart tourism and foster the growth of high and new technology. Through such initiatives, we hope to further integrate tourism and modern technology by supporting the research and development of new high-tech local products, in contribution to Macao’s development as a world centre of tourism and leisure. The trip was organised by Sands China, co-organised by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, supported by the Science and Technology Development Fund, and coordinated by the Sands Resorts Incubation Centre.   The delegates attended the opening night of Lisbon’s annual Web Summit technology conference and an accompanying welcome dinner on Nov. 11. The event brings together the world’s leading experts, innovators, business executives and cultural icons, setting the stage for an incredible week ahead for the delegates. Sands China Encouraging Team Members to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle 🏃➡️ Sands China recently established the Sands China Ltd. Responsible Gaming Runners (SCL RG Runners) in September and held their first event. Mr. Andy Kobel, the Company’s Senior Vice President of Casino Operations, led over 60 Team Members on a 6-kilometer run on the Taipa Grande Trail. To encourage them on their run, the first 10 finishers received a responsible gaming gift pack and were invited to participate in future professional trainings. The SCL RG Runners initiative aims to encourage Team Members to achieve work-life balance and maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise. More sports activities are planned for our Team Members via the new initiative.
