☯️ Do not live half a #life and do not die a half death If you choose silence, then be silent When you speak, do so until you are finished If you accept, then express it bluntly Do not mask it If you refuse then be clear about it for an ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance Do not accept half a solution Do not believe half truths Do not dream half a dream Do not fantasize about half hopes Half the way will get you no where You are a whole that exists to live a life not half a life. 'How much difference you make is relative to how deep you go within yourself.' Eckhart Tolle Let's let this sink in as we reflect on the year and prepare for the new year! #LeaDAOship #Transformation ☯️

The magic to #be #Human (authentic, empathetic, humble, vulnerable) "It took me a lifetime to embrace the fifth, and for me by far the hardest, “Be” that I share in #TheHeartOfBusiness... Be authentic, empathetic, humble, vulnerable. Be human. Today, our teams expect us to be human, and they expect us to grasp who they are and to make them feel respected, heard, understood, and included. This means that we must open up and make ourselves vulnerable by acknowledging what we do not know. Once you do, I bet you'll find more happiness and deeper meaning in your job. And these positive effects will ripple onto your team, customers, shareholders—even the world! How do you show up as yourself as a leader? What challenges have you encountered in the pursuit of authenticity?" Thank you for being an inspiring #leader, 🦸♂️ Hubert Joly! #UnleashingHumanMagic #UnleashingHeroes #RipplesOfImpact #Leadership ☯️ Who are your favorite, most inspiring leaders? A powerful reminder! What are most the #important tasks to accomplish? Which of them is most #urgent? What takes are not necessary at all? Which can I delegate? #Focus on what matters most! 🎯 ☯️ #leadership #heroes Post by Oxford Leadership 🙏🏻
One of the best productivity hacks is not to perform your to-do list more efficiently but to shorten the overall number of tasks. Instead of writing an extensive to-do list and trying to get it all done, determine the 1-3 tasks that are essential and then focus on those tasks during the day. The Eisenhower Matrix is one of the most popular frameworks for prioritizing tasks. The matrix was invented by Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, serving from 1953 to 1961. The weight of having a significant task on your mind can make you lose focus on the task at hand. This loss of focus makes the job take longer to complete. It can also lead to the task completing less effectively. People choose to complete more manageable tasks first, not on the logical basis of what methodology is more productive, but on what method makes them feel better. The option to do more manageable tasks first is rarely made with productivity in mind. Instead, people choose this workflow method because it elicits positive emotions that produce a short-term psychological high, not because it works better. ➡️ Why do many choose to do the most straightforward task first? The “path of least resistance” is an idiom because people generally procrastinate on complex tasks and perform smaller tasks instead. Completing smaller tasks generates a feeling of productivity. Behavioural scientists call this tendency “task completion bias.” ➡️ Why instead pick the challenging tasks first? Doing complicated tasks first ensures enough physical and cognitive energy to complete these essential tasks. Therefore, it is more productive to consider whether you need to perform small tasks rather than do them first. When you succumb to task completion bias, you feel more effective because you get a larger quantity of smaller jobs done. However, as these tasks have less intrinsic value, you ultimately become less productive. ➡️ This two-step evaluation should be performed to determine if: 🔶 is the task worth doing? 🔶 If the task is worth doing, am I the best person to do it? It is easier to evaluate the validity of a task and whether you are the best person to do it with smaller jobs. This is because the best measure of productivity is the quality of functions performed, not quantity. Training in our SML online programme can help leaders prioritise and focus. A post on quiet extroverts by my Pitch Club friend Benny. Enjoy ✨ Quiet extroverts are a different kind of leader. They thrive in groups but don't dominate. They lead with empathy and understanding. ☑ Deep Listening and Empathy Quiet extroverts are phenomenal listeners. They don’t just hear; they understand and empathize, making them approachable and trustworthy – essential qualities for any leader. According to the Center for Creative Leadership, empathy is critical for effective leadership. This is something I've taken a while to develop - if you've known me for a while then you know I can talk your ear off, but I'm now consciously trying to listen more and ask more meaningful questions. ☑ Building Strong, Lasting Relationships Quiet extroverts focus on nurturing deep relationships rather than spreading themselves thin. This leads to a more cohesive and loyal team. Harvard Business Review highlights that strong interpersonal relationships boost job satisfaction and productivity. I've got a list - with frequency attached to each person. It helps remind me who I need to connect with. ☑ Thoughtful Decision Making Quiet extroverts think before they speak or act, leading to well-considered decisions. The MBTI often identifies these leaders with strong Judging (J) and Feeling (F) preferences, contributing to their cautious and people-oriented decision-making style. ☑ Calm Under Pressure Quiet extroverts stay cool as a cucumber in high-stress situations. Their calm demeanour can be a stabilizing force for their teams, helping them navigate crises effectively. The American Psychological Association found that leaders who remain calm under pressure inspire greater confidence in their teams. Different Leadership Styles: No One-Size-Fits-All Leadership isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about leveraging your unique strengths to inspire and guide your team effectively. Here’s how quiet extroverts can harness their superpowers: → Cultivate Empathy and Trust Dive deep into your team’s needs and concerns. Hold regular one-on-ones to foster open communication and trust. Your listening skills will make everyone feel like VIPs. 🌟 → Build Meaningful Connections Invest in relationships like they’re gold. Create a vibe where everyone feels connected and supported. Use your extroverted energy to boost collaboration. ✨ → Lead with Thoughtfulness Gather all the intel before making moves. Your thoughtful approach will lead to strategic and effective decisions. Encourage your team to think critically and share their insights. 🧩 → Stay Calm and Collected In crises, be the serene presence that keeps everyone grounded. Practice mindfulness and stress-busting techniques to maintain your cool. Your team will see you as their beacon of stability. 🧘♂️ Master the art of quiet extroversion. Transform your leadership. Inspire your team. #Leadership #Motivation #Careers #PersonalDevelopment #Management #Culture Image Credit: AI Post Credit: Benny Zachariah ☯️🦸
