Expanding financial inclusion
About us
Financial Sector Deepening Zambia (FSDZ) is a Zambian organisation working closely with key players throughout the economy to ensure that all Zambians are financially healthy, particularly the most excluded and underserved. We help rural families, women, youth, low income people, and other households in Zambia to understand and access a wide range of sustainable, comparable and affordable financial services. To expand financial inclusion, we collaborate with both public and private sector institutions to make financial markets work better. FSD Zambia enhances trust between clients and suppliers of financial services by helping to increase their understanding, expand innovation, and lower costs. In this way all women, men, girls and boys can learn about, choose, and use a wide range of financial services according to their needs. FSDZ enjoys the active support of financing partners UK Aid, Swedish Sida and Rural Finance Expansion Programme (RUFEP).

Livelihoods in many regions face increasing threats from climate change, with farmers particularly vulnerable due to their reliance on rainfed agriculture. Unpredictable weather patterns, extreme droughts, and intense storms have become more frequent, placing farmers' crops and their futures at risk. In response, inclusive insurance offers a transformative solution. By providing affordable, accessible, and tailored insurance products, we can empower farmers to protect their harvests against the growing uncertainty of climate change. Inclusive insurance not only safeguards the crops but also offers a safety net that allows farmers to invest in their future, recover from losses, and continue to thrive. Join us in empowering farmers, protecting harvests, and securing a resilient tomorrow! #InclusiveInsurance #ClimateResilience #FarmersFirst #SustainableAgriculture #ClimateChange #ResilientLivelihoods #RiskManagement #ProtectingFarmers #SecureFutures #InsuranceForAll #BuildingResilience #AgricultureAndClimate #FarmingInTheFuture #EmpowerFarmers

FSD Zambia understands that achieving true gender equality requires the active participation of everyone, including men. Recognizing their vital role, FSD Zambia has committed to equipping men with the tools and knowledge needed to become advocates for inclusion and champions for women’s empowerment. Through specialized training and awareness programs, men are encouraged to challenge societal norms, support equitable opportunities, and actively participate in creating environments where women and men can thrive together. By fostering these partnerships, FSD Zambia is paving the way for inclusive growth and sustainable development driven by gender-balanced communities. Let’s work together to build a future where equality is not just a goal but a shared reality. #MenAsAllies #GenderEquality #WomenEmpowerment #InclusiveCommunities #FSDZambia #SustainableDevelopment #EqualityForAll #EmpoweringWomen

Empowering Zambia’s smallholder farmers with financial resilience! FSD Zambia was proud to participate in the insurance payout ceremony hosted by Mayfair Insurance in Chongwe under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP). This milestone demonstrates the power of agriculture insurance in safeguarding farmers against the devastating effects of climate change, like droughts and floods. Through these payouts, farmers can restore their livelihoods purchasing inputs for the next season, replacing lost livestock, and meeting essential needs. Together with our partners, we remain committed to breaking barriers to insurance uptake by building trust, raising awareness, and driving real impact in rural communities. #FSDZambia #FinancialInclusion #EmpoweringFarmers #BuildingResilience #InclusiveInsurance #ClimateAdaptation
