The Argus Group reports strong first half performance, with net income for the six months ended September 30, 2024 of $5.9 million, compared to $5.0 million in the previous year. Alison Hill, Group CEO, said: “We are pleased with these resilient financial results, achieved in the face of challenging macroeconomic conditions. I am both elated and sad to announce that today was my last day interning at The Argus Group! I started my internship in June, and over these past three months the experience has been more than I could ever imagine. I was lucky to be placed with some amazing people. The entire Digital Department that I worked with was so warm and welcoming, as well as the rest of the Argus team. They were willing at every step to teach me and expose me to as much as they could in such a short time. I felt so privileged to be surrounded by so many people who were so willing to share their knowledge. It was amazing to be able to see the inner workings of this company, and how many hands it takes to keep everything running smoothly. I feel that I gained so much invaluable experience, and actually felt like part of the team. I gained new skills and knowledge in more ways than I thought I would. Not only was I able to get a deeper insight into the world of IT. Doing things like playing around with numerous Microsoft applications used in developing sites, apps, and more, as well as becoming very well-acquainted with Canva. I was also able to develop my soft skills through interfacing with various departments, collaborating on projects, and discussing necessary goals that needed to be met in various timelines. Leaving this program I gained a better understanding of what is needed to work in a team. I developed, and now better understand skills that I would have otherwise overlooked. Overall this experience is one that I will not take for granted. It was vital to help further lead me into an understanding of the career path I have a true passion for. Thank you to the entire Argus team, and an even bigger thank you to the Digital Department, you all were amazing! ❤️

At Argus, we are committed to supporting local talent development and this National Intern Day we are delighted to highlight the 14 students who are taking part in our 2024 Summer Internship Programme. In addition to gaining real-world experience in different departments across our organisation, last week the group participated in a day of volunteering at local charity HOME. Kyla Philpott said: “The experience at HOME was eye opening. We never know what someone else is going through, but offering help and care, where we can, goes a long way. I think it's so amazing that programs like this exist for Bermudians. It's inspiring to see how much love and care is put towards Bermudians in all different situations to ensure we all have a chance to have a good life." Thank you to our interns for their hard work and to HOME for providing us the opportunity. The Argus Group announced net income for the year ended 31 March 2024 of $7.3 million, compared to $15.6 million in the previous year. Argus Chief Executive Officer, Alison Hill, stated: “The transformations to our business in recent years, from operating model changes to revenue source diversification, have provided significant benefits this year.
