Sometimes people may not stay long, but their impact is invaluable. In this case, we're talking about Kellie Fay! Kellie has had a tremendous impact and connection with MCE students over the past year. She graciously took over as interim Programs Manager and was instrumental in keeping all of MCE's programs running, in addition to adding some new strategies and initiatives. While it pains to see her go, we wish her nothing but the best in her new role as Manager of the Navigate Incubator, and know that Grenfell, CNA and the larger Corner Brook community are super lucky to have her! Congrats and good luck, Kellie! We look forward to working with you in this new capacity :)

What we needed this week was a healthy dose of inspiration from empowered, incredible women leaders - and the 2024 Illuminate finalists delivered! On Wednesday evening, we wrapped up our 2nd annual Illuminate program with five innovative ideas presented at the Live Finals. We are so proud of all students who engaged in this program, shared their passions, and took the leap of applying to the pitch competition. The hard work and dedication of our students, the generosity of our sponsors, the energy and thoughtfulness from our judges, and the enthusiasm from the audience and community made this event another one for the books! To all who supported - Thank you! Today we say "See you soon!" rather than "Farewell" to MCE's Director, Ed J. Martin, as he ends his current role with MCE but continues in a new capacity as President and CEO of the Genesis Centre! We're grateful for the insight and expansion with his leadership over the past two years. And since he's not going that far ;) we look forward to continued and new collaborations between MCE and Genesis, as well as the larger community, as we all work together to grow the startup ecosystem! Congrats, Ed!
