Train conductor Eric Carlisle came face to face with an EF-3 tornado in Nebraska this past weekend as it crossed path’s with his locomotive, and he managed to get some crazy footage of what happened next. The footage begins with the tornado off in the distance, quickly gathering steam as it barrels forward.
As it gets closer, we see Carlisle’s partner ducking under the train’s dash as the tornado moved by the tracks. When the camera is underneath the dash, you’re still able to hear the force and destruction created by this storm. It has been reported that 31 cars were derailed as the tornado blew over, but the front end stayed put, allowing both men to remain safe with minimal injuries.
