Twin-Turbocharged, LS3-Powered 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was modified before the current owner’s 2020 acquisition, which included fitting a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 that features forged internal components, a revised camshaft, and twin Precision 68mm turbochargers along with an intercooler, Holley EFI, and high-capacity fuel injectors. Power is routed through a 4L80e four-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear end, and the car rides on a Detroit Speed front subframe, adjustable coilovers, and a Quadralink rear setup as well as 18″ Formula 43 wheels over Baer disc brakes. The body was repainted in metallic gray and features a cowl-induction hood and a tucked rear bumper, while the interior was outfitted with Vintage Air climate control, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, a roll bar, a JL Audio digital receiver, and Recaro front bucket seats trimmed in red leather. This modified Camaro is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an Illinois title in the owner’s name.
The car has been repainted metallic gray and features a chin spoiler, a cowl-induction hood, a tucked rear bumper, LED driving lights, quarter-panel vents, shaved drip rails, smoked Rally Sport-style taillights, and rectangular exhaust finishers recessed into the rear bumper.
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in November 2024 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle.
The car rides on a Detroit Speed front subframe with adjustable coilovers and tubular control arms, while a QuadraLink setup with a sway bar and a Panhard rod is fitted out back.
Black 18″ Formula 43 wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires, and the rear wheel wells were tubbed to accommodate the 335-series rubber. Braking is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear Baer calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors.
The cabin is fitted with Recaro front bucket seats trimmed in red leather that were sourced from Hot Rod Interiors by Chuck, and matching upholstery extends to the center console and door panels. The rear bucket seats are fronted by a black roll bar, and further details include Vintage Air climate control, power windows and door locks, carbon-fiber sill plates, a Lokar shifter, and a JL Audio digital media receiver linked with high-performance audio components.
The trunk has been upholstered to match the cabin, and a Radium Engineering fuel cell was installed during the build.
A Billet Specialties steering wheel is mounted ahead of a carbon-fiber dash panel with AutoMeter instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer shows 1,800 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The hood opens on billet hinges to reveal a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 that was installed during the build. It was reportedly assembled with forged I-beam connecting rods and Manley pistons along with ARP head studs and a revised camshaft. Induction is provided by twin 68mm Precision ball-bearing turbochargers linked to 44mm TiAL wastegates and a bespoke intercooler according to the seller, and the fuel system has been modified with 1,000cc injectors and a Holley EFI system. Cooling is provided by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine is said to have produced approximately 840 horsepower when tuned to 16psi of boost.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4L80e four-speed automatic transmission and a Detroit Speed 9″ rear end that is said to feature a 3.70:1 gear set and a limited-slip differential. Upswept Stainless Works headers flow to a stainless-steel exhaust system with an X-pipe.
There is currently a lien on the vehicle, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the next owner.
The Illinois title is a duplicate.
