S009282 WAFFEN-SS "Wallonie" RECRUITING POSTER. (SS Werben Plakat) 

80cm x 59cm, full color, printed artwork SS recruitment poster designed to entice French speaking Belgian Walloons to enlist in the Waffen-SS. Poster features a black background field with a large scalloped tipped shield in the Belgian national colors of three horizontal bars of black, yellow and red. Top edge of shield has large yellow script, "Wallonie". Superimposed on the center of the shield is the face-on artwork of an SS soldier wearing a helmet with camouflage cover. Bottom of poster has large white French script, "SS Viens à nous! SS-Division blindée <<Wallonie>>", (Come to us! SS armored Division Wallonie). Bottom edge of poster also has the manufacturers name in smaller white script, "D. Plattaeu & Co. Vleminckveld 5. Anders". Few small tape repairs to the reverse but overall very nice. Hard to find original!
