Search Plan
This plan enables Grounding with Bing Search tool in Azure AI Agent Service. It adds intelligent search results to your AI Agents, expanding the capabilities of AI models with relevant and up-to-date information. It combines the power of billions of publicly available web pages to provide real-time results for the agents to craft the desired output.
This tool can only be used as a knowledge source for the Azure AI Agent Service, in combination with other data sources. By enabling this tool, the Agent is able to search the web for the required information to fulfil the user query. The final output includes the model result grounded with Bing Search data, citing the pertinent publishers.
To enable Grounding with Bing Search, you must create the appropriate resource through Azure Portal. Once you have your resource, you must connect that to Assistants using the Azure AI Foundry Portal.
When the model reasoning determines it needs Grounding with Bing Search, the tool is invoked, and the result includes that data coming from Bing. The model uses that information to craft the final output, which includes citations to the sites that have been consulted and the link of the Bing search query that was performed. These two references must be shown to the end customer as per our Use and Display Requirements.
When Grounding with Bing Search is activated within Azure AI Agent Service, you will be charged for the grounding transactions made to return summarized results from Bing.
