Review
As a movie in its own right, it is not good at all. Perhaps it is just me, perhaps this is modern movie making for a Vine generation, where characters don't have time to be fully developed and motivations do not need to make sense, as attention spans simply aren't long enough. But for a mature viewer, such as myself, the film ha... read more

The sequel to Return of the Jedi, it is the seventh film in the "Skywalker Saga". "Reason why the future kind of sucks: What? Did you really think, that the Imperials would go, without a fight? Year it takes place: A long, long time ago, in a blah, blah, blah."
"19.3. Disney+ Uusintakatselu. Viime vuonna katsoin alkuperÀisen trilogian oikeista syistÀ ja esiosatrilogian pÀÀstÀkseni toteamaan, ettei sitÀ tarvi enÀÀ koskaan vapaaehtoisesti katsoa. Uusi trilogiakin oli totta kai uudelleenarvioinnin edessÀ. Varsinkin kun muistin, ettÀ sen turhauttava pÀÀtösosa sai epÀilemÀÀn, ettÀ pidin kahdesta edeltÀvÀstÀ aivan liikaa (neljÀn tÀhden verran kummastakin). Skeptikko-minÀ sanoisi, ettei uuden trilogian avauksella ole muuta syytÀ olem"
“Loved the original 'Star Wars' films as a kid, still do. Especially 'Empire Strikes Back' while considering 'A New Hope' a genre landmark. Didn't think the prequel films were that bad personally, but they had a lot wrong with them and were a long way from great, especially 'Attack of the Clones'.

Finally mustering the courage, count me in as somebody who loved 'Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens'. A masterpiece? No. Better than the prequels? Absolutely, and although some may disagree ” read more

"While I do think it's a little too derivative of the original, it's still a captivating and exciting new dawn. It's an affectionate transitionary movie from the previous generation to the next: as well as old favourites, it introduces a new cast of characters, all of whom are extremely likable."
