We are thrilled to welcome Kayla Congress and Olayeni Oladipo to William Blair as part of our Asset Management Diversity Accelerator (AMDA) program! AMDA is a 24-month rotational development program seeking to create a new pipeline of junior talent, increase diversity of background and thought within investment teams, and better our communities. For the past eight months, we have had the pleasure of working with Destiny Robinson and Diana Vo. Their contributions to our investment teams have been invaluable. Congratulations to Michael Cody, quantitative portfolio and trading analyst on the U.S. growth and core equity team, for winning the 2024 Nicholas Award! The Nicholas Award commemorates John Nicholas, a beloved colleague who passed away suddenly in 2002. His 30-year career in investment management proved him to be a skillful investor, but more importantly, he was known for being a generous teacher and mentor. The Nicholas Award is given to an Investment Management employee each year who exemplifies the skills and values that John brought to bear in his efforts to make his colleagues great and to inspire others to do the same: excellence, engagement, and authenticity. These are timeless qualities to which we all aspire. It was great to be surrounded by John’s family in what was a moving and heartful ceremony.

Check it out! Chris Sweeney, research analyst on our U.S. growth and core equity team went on a research trip and had the opportunity to see a fully operational autothermal reformer on the Gulf Coast. Autothermal Reforming (ATR) is a technology process for producing syngas, comprised of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen, and is one of the most cost-effective solutions to produce low-carbon hydrogen at scale. Companies involved in this technology are then able to send the carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to on-site customers who can harness it to produce acetic acid and methanol. So instead of emitting that carbon, it’s put to use! Want to learn more? Visit our Interactive Research Map now: https://lnkd.in/gfEadt_c
