Highlight of the past week: One of our plumber partners just had a baby.
This guy was the first to ever refer us to a job in just in our 3rd day of being open for business. He continued to let me know early on that his wife was 9 months pregnant and Joseph Romanczuk and I immediately thought the same thing “we need to take care of him when she gives birth.”
After many more referrals opportunities sent, using us to help his customers out in emergencies, being given a RestoPros of Hudson County Yeti Cooler and staying in constant communication, we noticed he went silent and was not seen for over a week. I was able to meet with his supervisor and he confirmed exactly what I thought, his wife gave birth! After a few texts to confirm this was true (and also to let me know that his car was stolen along with the Yeti cooler I gifted him) I let him know I’ll see him on his first day back in the morning, which happened to be the next day.
At this point the plan Joey and I had was put into action and now I find myself in the Target baby aisles at 9:30pm to grab some baby essentials (and goodies!) for the Mom, Dad, and the precious little one!
Barely able to sleep from excitement, I hurried over to Jersey City the next morning to meet him right at the company warehouse and indeed there our new dad was with all of his colleagues out front! He walked me over to his replacement vehicle (an old dented $600 toyota corolla with a non-functioning trunk), opened up the back door where we had a fresh baby seat that was installed and let me know I could place the two bags I had next to it. After catching up with him and the other guys around, I wished them well and then received a text at 7pm that night!
This is my why, we are there for those that are in need, we appreciate those around us, and we strive to make each person we get in contact with feel the X factor that you can’t place a metric on, just that intuition that something special is here.
Let’s make a difference friends.
