THE POWER BEHIND POWER
About us
MR: THE POWER BEHIND POWER For over 30 years, Reinhausen Manufacturing Inc. has been providing the world with its reliable Load Tap Changers, which are produced in Humboldt, Tennessee. Our parent company, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR), is located in Regensburg, Germany and has been revolutionizing the energy technology sector for more than 150 years. Today, MR products regulate more than 50% of the worldwide power supply. The Tennessee location is the only manufacturing facility in the U.S., but we have several sales and service offices across the country: North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas and Arizona. We have grown to 178 employees nationwide, with 135 in the Humboldt plant alone. Our global company consists of MR and more than 45 subsidiaries and 4 affiliated companies. Our core business is the regulation of power transformers. This is done primarily with the aid of tap changers, which adapt the transmission ratio of the primary to secondary winding to change load ratios and, together with additional, innovative products and services, ensure an interruption-free power supply. Though tap changers started it all, our expert R&D team continues to transform the industry with pioneering technology and products. Visit our website to learn more www.reinhausen.com. What is a low-cost alternative to line extensions on single-phase low-voltage grids that can help accommodate the increasing adoption of solar energy? The ECOTAP® VPD® I. Single-phase low-voltage grids are particularly widespread in the USA and Australia. The advantages of such grids are that they are easy to install, and the investment costs are comparatively low. However, absorption capacities are quickly reached when more and more households install solar systems on their roofs. ⚡ The low-cost alternative to line extensions is our ECOTAP® VPD® I, which also makes single-phase transformers controllable. Pepco Holdings Inc. (PHI) was convinced and used the VRDT for the first time in southern New Jersey. 👉 Curious how this project went? Find it out in our current issue of ONLOAD: https://lnkd.in/gyqJU6DC #reinhausen #thepowerbehindpower #VRDT #singlephasegrids
