  • 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁... from our co-founder, Tina Larsson’s childhood growing up in Sweden. When she was little and went to visit her grandparents who lived in an apartment building, you had to press a button to turn the lights on in the stairwell. The lights only stayed on for 10 seconds or so. So, she and her sister had to run up the stairs to press the next button before it turned dark. This was not as advanced as today’s proptech sensors, but it did the trick with similar result as the NYCECC 2020 requires.   • When we started replacing light fixtures with LEDs on motion sensors for our clients over 10 years ago, we had some pushback from boards who didn’t understand how motion sensors work. They said, our hallways can’t be dark. Our answer, you’ll never see that they are dark because; 1) there’s at least one fixture that dims down and always stay on 2) you won’t know that it’s dark because as soon as any door opens, the lights go on Ready to tackle that Local Law 88 and get your building in compliance?
