//MORE OF THIS, PLEASE. A simple gesture like this can make a difference. Some leaders just talk about employee well-being. Others take steps to make it happen. While this message is a good start, Here’s how I would take it a step further: ↳ Schedule emails for business hours: Write emails anytime, but schedule them to send during work hours to respect off-hours. ↳ Model unplugging with out-of-office replies: When leaders are offline, they should use out-of-office messages to demonstrate the importance of disconnecting. ↳ Provide advance notice for urgent requests: If after-hours attention is needed, try to give employees a heads up early so they can plan accordingly. ↳ Encourage async communication: Not every message needs an immediate response. Foster a culture where people can batch communications and respect focus time. ↳ Prioritize results over hours: Assess performance based on outcomes and impact, not time spent online. ↳ Normalize taking time off: Regularly remind and encourage employees to take the vacation time they've earned. P.S. Who is doing any of this today? I’d love to know what’s worked (or hasn’t) for other companies. ——— Chances your innovation strategy is broken are 94% https://lnkd.in/dexsVrw8 #innovation #creativity #future #whatinspiresme #innoweek #venturestudio #companybuilder #vc All rights and credits are reserved to the respective owner(s).
