We had a great Housekeeping week last month celebrating our amazing team! Thanks to our Director of Hotel Operations and Housekeeping Manager for planning a whole week of fun. Our Housekeeping team helps keep us running smoothly and provide an exceptional experience for our guests! We are so grateful for their hard work and continued dedication to Hotel Haya ❤️

Exciting things are happening at Hotel Haya! 🎉 We’re proud to announce the appointment of Laura Maldonado as our new General Manager. A Puerto Rico native, Laura brings a wealth of experience, having worked with world-renowned brands like Wyndham and Hilton, and most recently serving as GM at the iconic four-star Heathman Hotel in Portland another Aparium property. There, she led a full-scale transformation of the property and developed a company-wide action plan for sustainable growth. “I’m honored to join Hotel Haya,” Laura shared. “My focus has always been on building strong, collaborative teams that blend seasoned expertise with fresh perspectives, ensuring an exceptional experience for both associates and guests. I am passionate about fostering talent within the hospitality industry and creating memorable, nostalgic events that resonate with our community.” At Hotel Haya, she looks forward to reintroducing cherished traditions while also showcasing local businesses, strengthening our ties with the community and creating a welcoming environment for all! We’re so excited to have her lead the team and foster new experiences and connections in Ybor City!

Had an awesome annual PR & Marketing planning meeting today with our General Manager, Director Lifestyle, Director of PR + Communications from Aparium Hotel Group, a Marketing Manager from our HQ team too, as well as our entire PR team from Paradise Advertising & Marketing Inc. We’re proud to introduce Kal Harris as the new Director of Food and Beverage at Hotel Haya! With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Kal’s journey has taken him from his hometown of Buffalo, NY, to the vibrant dining scene of Tampa. He’s set to bring fresh energy and innovation to our culinary offerings at Flor Fina and Café Quiquiriqui. Kal’s impressive career includes launching new concepts and cultivating exceptional dining experiences, and now he’s ready to elevate what we offer here at Hotel Haya. We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait for you to experience his influence firsthand!

A little photo recap from artist Michael Vahl's 'Euphoria Solo Art Exhibiton' we hosted at Hotel Haya earlier this month. We saw over 150 guests come for this show and to support local art in Tampa.   The night featured local artists in our foyer during cocktail hour till the ballroom opened up to reveal 15 portrait paintings from Michael Vahl. The evening began with attendees being serenaded by a 4 piece band then we got to see a curated dance performance that ended by the dancers revealing Vahl’s final two paintings. Following the dance performance, guests danced to the tunes by DJ OB7.   Haya is proud to be a host for local artists to flourish and showcase their talent in our space. Stay tuned for more artist pop ups throughout this year by some of Tampa Bay’s very best. This event was planned and curated by our Director of Lifestyle, Natalie Wolfe!

You know the ins and the outs of every accounting position in your office and are willing to jump in the trenches and find solutions to improving the process.  Your past experience and history have enabled you to work with people + culture and understand those responsibilities will drive how you approach this role, but you are always striving to learn more.
