The beautiful 20.8 x 38 tractor tire wreath you see was crafted by Andy and Andrea Overbay of VA Middlefork Farms in Chilhowie, VA, in collaboration with Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Smyth County. Just like Firestone Ag, VCE Smyth County is dedicated to supporting farmers and strengthening the agricultural community through education and innovation. For FFA Friday, meet Emily Nabors, an ambitious 11th grader and future veterinarian with a passion for agriculture. Emily’s journey began with showing broiler chickens at her county fair, but her true passion for showing hogs was inspired by her father’s stories from his own FFA days. Now, with the support of her Firestone Ag-sponsored National FFA Organization SAE grant, Emily competes in the Arkansas Youth Expo and other jackpot shows, continuing to grow her skills. She’s also preparing her new custom hog shelter at home. Her ultimate goal? To become a large and small animal veterinarian and inspire future generations, just as her dad inspired her. 🐖 Congratulations, Emily! 🎉 With Firestone Ag and FFA celebrating 80 years of partnership, we’re proud to support the next generation of agricultural leaders.
