Flashback Friday! This week, we're revisiting Renton Memorial Stadium, where 2010 marked the beginning of a 37,200 sq ft renovation of the 5,500-seat sports arena. The upgraded facility included new restrooms, ticket booths, concessions, bleachers, grandstands, locker rooms, a public address system, and storage. We are proud to have contributed to enhancing this community landmark!

We commission all building systems; HVAC and controls, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, renewable resources, emergency power, safety and security, and data envelope and communication; from new construction, retro, or existing buildings to monitoring-based commissioning. Commissioning building systems for quality performance was a relatively new idea when we began our partnership in 1999. On Jan 1, 2021 Welsh Commissioning Group was acquired by Performance Validation, a 100% Employee Owned Company. As an employee owned company our goal and business model remains the same: to ensure that building construction goes smoothly for our clients. We provide third-party, unbiased reviews that bring confidence to owners that their buildings meet construction document requirements, that their systems function at specified performance, and that they have achieved the best value for their construction dollar.

Flashback! This week, we’re highlighting the 8th and Virginia Building in Seattle, Washington, which broke ground in 2006 in collaboration with Schnitzer West, LLC. This impressive 670,000 sq ft office tower spans 36 stories and includes ground-floor retail and 265,000 sq ft of subterranean parking. We were proud to partner with an incredible team to deliver this remarkable office tower in downtown Seattle, completed in 2010!

Throwback Thursday! Today, we’re reflecting on the construction of the Pierce County Skills Center for the Bethel School District. Construction began in 2009 on this new 22,691 sq ft facility, which features laboratory classrooms for vocational technical education, as well as spaces designed for pre-physical therapy, pre-veterinary technology, pre-medical services, internet game design, and robotics. We are proud to have supported the completion of this facility in 2011, providing valuable learning opportunities that shape the futures of countless students.
