The U.S. truck transportation market is currently experiencing a period of fluctuation due to shifting economic conditions and evolving supply chain dynamics. Securing advantageous terms on fixed costs like real estate is important in a volatile environment for fuel and spot rate costs. After years of starts and stops, there finally may be real momentum in the return-to-office movement. Several large companies have made firm announcements about their belief that in-person work is an important factor of collaboration and culture. It’s too early to fully-understand the impact this may have on overall office occupancy. The latest iteration of the Cresa Remote Work Index has seen little movement in overall office trends over the past several months. The changes have been in the margins as hybrid work models have adjusted to be more intentional and structured, but overall office occupancy remains consistent. It will be interesting to watch the trends over the next 12-months to see if there is a tipping point and companies follow the lead of Amazon and others in demanding workers report to the office. Cresa New Jersey's Andrew M. Kolen recently participated in the latest CoreNet Global New Jersey Chapter event, where the topic of AI in commercial real estate was discussed. Check out the key takeaways and insights below! #Cresa #CresaNewJersey #CRE #ArtificialIntelligence #RealEstateTrends
We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent CoreNet NJ event, where end-user members explored the transformative power of AI in the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) industry. A huge thank you to our insightful speakers, James Waddell, President; and Andrew H. Stern, Senior Associate / Design Technology Leader. Thank you also to CSG Law for hosting and allowing us to tour the thoughtfully planned and executed “law office of the future”. Key Takeaways: - Industrial Revolution for Knowledge Workers: AI is revolutionizing the world of work, reinventing both customer and employee experiences, and driving data-informed design. - AI in CRE: From portfolio optimization and lease administration to space planning and energy usage optimization, AI is opening up top opportunities for CRE professionals. - Real-World Applications: AI is already impacting the CRE industry and the essential skills needed to thrive, including data-driven decision-making and collaborative leadership. - Actionable Insights: While CRE AI technology is still in its infancy, starting small, demonstrating value, and expanding gradually is key. Prioritizing AI literacy for yourselves and your teams is crucial. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this event. Together, we are positioning our organizations for success in the AI-powered future! #CoreNetNJ #CorporateRealEstate #AI #Innovation #CRE #DataDriven #FutureOfWork

The #industrial market continues to shift toward a #tenant-favorable landscape with rising vacancies 📈 and slowing rent growth. With #inflation cooling and additional interest rate hikes anticipated in the next 12 months, consumer spending may push demand for durable goods and manufacturing orders higher. This could temper the long-term negative impact on the industrial market. Nevertheless, occupiers have a window of #opportunity to negotiate more favorable terms, particularly with new supply sharply tapering.
