Brown Brothers Harriman's Killian Lonergan talks to Beverly Chandler about the rise of #active #etfs in #Europe. The European distribution landscape for ETFs is blighted with a history of commission payments. “Retrocession across Europe isn’t going away,” Lonergan says, noting that the Retail Investment Strategy is struggling through the regulatory layers. “Retrocession is part of the fabric of selling funds in Europe and has an impact on costs,” he says. “ETFs are cheaper, but the ecosystem from a distribution space is going through third parties and intermediaries and funds are sold not bought.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/evWTkg7d
