This post highlights the significance of fitness for law enforcement officers. Class 151 recently graduated from the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. Today was their first Human Performance WOD upon returning to the Deparment. They are now gearing up for local and field training. As Class 151 reenters the Department, it's essential to emphasize the importance of physical fitness in their roles. Maintaining physical conditioning isn't just a requirement; it's an ethical responsibility. By instilling a growth mindset, officers can navigate challenges and excel in their careers, ensuring success in the field. #LawEnforcementFitness #GrowthMindset

Today, six APD Officers of Session 151 of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy graduated and have entered one of the most noble professions. Academy Director Gregory C. Brown reminded the graduates, "Every interaction you have is an opportunity to represent yourself, your families, the badge, and the uniform. You are ready to serve with excellence." These officers bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives to serve our Alexandria community and will soon enter field training. Congratulations, to the 151st Session of the Alexandria Police Department! #onealexandria #oneapd

For our APD officers, service is meeting the needs of our community beyond the badge. This evening, a few APD patrol officers with Chief McGuire, volunteered to serve dinner at the Alexandria Community Shelter. #OneAlexandria #OneAPD #Publicservice

Sharing conversations and laughs with community friends over turkey and dressing makes for a great Friendsgiving, a citywide tradition to build bridges and strengthen community connections among police with our community stakeholders. Our new Chief of Police, Tarrick McGuire and A/Chief Easton McDonald joined our Neighborhood Resource Officers to serve and connect with residents. It takes a village and we are thankful for our Alexandria community.
