🧠 Aphasia affects as many people as Parkinson's disease, leaving stroke survivors unable to speak or write - but new research offers hope for reconnection. With AHW Momentum Grant funding, researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin are exploring an innovative solution using artificial intelligence to help people with aphasia communicate again. The team is working with patients who already have brain monitoring devices to collect data that will help train AI systems to understand and decode brain signals. This groundbreaking work could eventually help people with aphasia reconnect with their families, friends, and communities.
