Is this the year you finally write that book you've been procrastinating about?

You may remember that in February 2022, I had an idea to create a series of business books with some of my favourite people.

The idea was:

• You would write a short, valuable book (20k words maximum)
• I would professionally publish it under my new imprint, Intellectual Perspective Press, including a copy edit from the wonderful Lisa plus interior and cover design from the brilliant Jayr (at a very low investment to you)
• You would write about one, atomic idea in your book - very specific, constrained (I'll advise, help, cajole, poke you)
• We would all promote the series of books - each book bringing attention to the others in the series (we provide the marketing assets to help you)
• We'd be doing it quickly, a sprint, getting your books out there within a short time (so you can grow your business using your assets as soon as possible)

This first group - The Pioneers - published 5 books in November, and all the books got a category bestseller status in Amazon. Some got multiple number one slots! We all had great fun. You can find out about the books by clicking on the image - buy yourself a copy while you're there!

In November 2022, I kicked off another group (called The Second Generation), there are now three of us writing our books together, giving and receiving feedback, helping and supporting each other.

Right now I am rounding up interest for the next cohort - Number 3 (not sure what to call it yet - any ideas?) - kicking off in the middle of March 2023.

Plenty of things have changed since that first group a whole year ago - feedback has helped me improve the program, slow down the delivery, create more time for interaction and 'peering'.

The dashboard we use has improved, there are now 5 courses inside with more than 100 short, actionable lessons so you can go through at your own pace, and keep track of the % you've completed. The courses will help you create other assets too (not just your book), I'm adding more short lessons as we go, and you get access forever!

The dashboard (called the AssetCreators.academy) let's you chat with me and other members, you can ask questions in the forum, see your homework (did I mention there's homework?) and track your own writing goals. Three weeks in every month we meet up on zoom to discuss your progress, get and give feedback, keep the momentum!

I already have 3 people prepared to start and I will be capping the number of authors at 10. Everyone gets a lot of my time and attention, so I'm keeping the group small again.

Despite having written 13 books over the last 20 years, I realize now that if I had taken the time to document my thoughts, ideas, and successful strategies, I would have created more assets for my business and a valuable archive of information... and I'd have even more time for chasing horses and herding cats!
