When your current solutions provider just can’t get it done.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love my husband. We make an amazing team and he does laundry! I started packing last night for my business trip and discovered my dry-cleaning clothes at the bottom of the laundry basket… saturated from the kid’s water adventures. This happens from time to time. Piles meant for packing end up being misconstrued as dirty laundry.

Normally this isn’t an issue, but today is a Friday after a holiday, meaning that questions start to form as to who will be able to launder my clothes before my flight on Monday. We all have that dependable business we lean on and trust, so this morning I pack up and plan to stop at my local, independent, and small business dry-cleaner. Much to my surprise they are taking the day off to spend with family and friends. Although I applaud this and know this is very much deserved… I still have wet, stinky laundry sitting in my car.

I found myself in a bind and entering the establishment of a larger chain to perform this turn for me. Did they greet me with kindness and support? Yes. Are they able to help me in this bind? Yes. Will I stink next week? I sure hope not!

Look, I understand that we live in a contractual world, but don’t let that affect how you manage your business. Years of trust take time to develop. I doubt that helping you in a bind would disrupt the system, therefore don’t be afraid to give me the opportunity to support you in these situations. Who knows, you might find a partner to lean on when things seem impossible. Know that EPI is here to help and have the resources to get it done, no strings attached.
