One thing I'll tell people this year more than I've told anybody ever is do not hire friends. You have to hire the person that's best for the job.

Part of what we shed this year and what we may still have to shed are people who were brought in by a friend that was available and could do the job.

But next time, I need a hire the person who is better than me in this particular position. I'm only hiring them if they're better than me. So if you need a deal structure person because that's taking almost all of your time and it's going to help you get to more people, then you hire an underwriter that's on the market.
