Great topic, Ruth! — A positively memorable presentation depends on the recipient’s intention for hearing it. Asking this is the first thing I do when I speak at conferences: “What is your specific intention for being here with me in this session?” Answering this in your mind or otherwise gets you focused, and increases your chances of being satisfied: during and after.
