Looking Within, Transforming Your Life
Taking time to reflect on your day has multiple benefits.
It strengthens your memory, develops visualisation and gives you an opportunity to rewire thought and emotional patterns.
I first came across this technique when I was living in Cyprus.
They called it 'Introspection', i.e. looking within.
Simply put, at the end of the day as you are about to go to sleep, you replay the day's events from beginning to end in your mind.
And ask yourself these questions:
"What did I think or feel, which I should NOT have thought or felt?"
"What did I NOT think or feel, which I should have thought or felt?"
"What did I say or do, which I should NOT have said or done?"
"What did I NOT say or do, which I should have said or done?"
As you address each of these questions, you visualise the day, how it went and further you imagine it how it could have been.

Over time, this meditative practise leads to better self awareness and helps change habits from the ground up.
Go on, try it.
