The Call is open to participants between 25 to 35 years old, from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and North America, with a strong interest in intercultural exchanges and intercultural cooperation to challenge and deconstruct hate speech and stereotypes. The theme of the Fellowship 2022 is “Countering discrimination and racism: the nexus to building pluralistic and diverse societies”. PRO TIP OF THE MONTH
Young graduates and job transitioning professionals have often reached out to me for advice on how to assess one’s worth while negotiating salary and avoid landing with figures less than peers. While there exists heaps of guidance on salary negotiation itself, I want to close this edition of the newsletter by pointing to you a seemingly obvious but a heavily ignored mantra critical for preserving self-worth and mental health.
“Salary is only one factor in selecting and staying in a job.”
No doubt salary transparency is a need of the hour, but navigating and contextualizing salary disclosure around friends and family requires thoughtfulness and care. Learn more about these minders in this LinkedIn post.
