🔗 TikTok is Testing Out Product Links in Posts

The video platform is starting to allow certain creators to add affiliate links to their posts. Even though the update is not out yet, it makes sense as a way to boost TikTok's reputation as a destination for online shopping. The links would show up at the top of a video's comment section, making it even easier for users to buy something from the app.

🎬 First Wheelchair User to Direct EastEnders

Owen Tooth, from Derbyshire, directed an episode of the BBC One soap which aired on the 14th of October. Tooth described the experience as "dreamy", and also pointed out the barriers he's faced in the industry, and how much needs to be done for disabled people. 

🌻 New Lego Toys with the Sunflower Lanyard

This amazing new initiative from the the LEGO Group has introduced the world's first toys to feature the official Sunflower lanyard. The aim is to promote awareness and inclusion around hidden disabilities. The collection was created with input from experts and the disabled community!

🗣️ Whatsapp Rolls Out Voice Note Transcripts

WhatsApp might not be your usual social media app, but we had to share this amazing news. The platform has a new option where users can switch on automatic transcripts of voice notes, this would not only mean that you can either listen or read your friends' messages, but it's also a great accessibility feature!

Everyone has probably experienced the awkwardness of accidentally opening their phone’s front camera and seeing their face unexpectedly, but in this trend you will be doing it purposefully. Have fun and share something you think but might not want to share.

☕️ Campaign spotlight: Walmart

All Gilmore Girls fans out there, listen up! Walmart has brought together some of your favourite actors for this year's Christmas ad. The 'Give the Gifts that Show You Get Them' campaign fits perfectly with the characters, and the fans will be excited to see Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham back together on screen (aka Luke and Lorelai).
