Coach's Notes

I ran a poll last week on LinkedIn to check the pulse of how often remote employees meet face to face with their coworkers.

Results:

Once a year - 47%

Twice a year - 16%

Quarterly - 18%

Never - 18%

To boil it down, one in every 5 people have NEVER met their team IRL.

During the year of the pandemic money was hard to come by for most companies including us here at Ambition.

Our SDR director at the time, Chris O'Connor, knew the power of bringing our large SDR team together in person.

He knew the impact it would have on retention, morale, and numbers...yes, numbers.

So he built a business case and SOLD the ROI of bringing our SDRs into Nashville, Tennessee quarterly.

The best part is, the cost justification was hard explicit dollars—not implicit.

We would schedule a 2-hour call blitz where our SDRs would shred the phones, TOGETHER, nonstop.

We would have our reps prep strong lists before getting into town and every single time we came in person we would break our record of meetings booked in a week...in 2 single hours.

Do the conversion math on opps that would flip to SQL and to closed won and BOOM... it became a no brainer.

The power of IRL is real. While the remote world is here to stay, don't forget what makes people people and the energy of being in real life together.

Speaking of IRL, I hope to see you at PEAK on Thursday. If you still have not gotten your ticket, snag one of the remaining options here!
