Gogol Marathon
GOGOL IS WISE AND FUNNY UKRAINIAN-RUSSIAN WRITER

Gogol Marathon

Four weeks of tasks for children and parents, which were completely funny and useful.

Everyone loves quests, so I often use this format for educational projects. Gogol is a rather famous Russian and Ukrainian writer in the world, distinguished by his rich style and high irony. He included many local Ukrainian vernaculars in his lyrics, although he lived mainly in St. Petersburg.

I wrote three quests: two around the city and one in the Ethnographic Museum, and also offered the children a creative task based on Gogol's stories. I checked all the assignments, followed the marks in social networks, gave feedback, distributed prizes and made out the final materials.

I used social media to drive traffic to the marathon website. Tasks were placed on closed pages after registration. The project had 10 sponsors, and part of the tasks necessarily included contact with their brands: special additional tasks, hidden tips or prize draws.
