Exactly what are VMware Cloud Services and why the fuss?

VMware Cloud Services are not a rebranding of existing solutions. It’s all new SaaS products that are available today with more planned. VMware Cloud Services were developed with the understanding that customers will be using multiple clouds. That right there has created a stir in the industry. The solutions are built enabled to support the customer need that a single application construct may feature services on-premises, in a VMware hybrid cloud, and in a native public cloud like AWS, Azure or GCP.

VMware Cloud Services provide customers with a unified approach to gain end-to-end visibility, governance, and security into not only cloud resources, but also applications running on multiple cloud resources.

Unlike any other set of services at VMware, VMware Cloud Services were developed with native public cloud as a “first class” citizen to vSphere, and the entire set of VMware Cloud Services is deployed in AWS natively. Customers can consume them in a pay as you go model or opt for a one or three-year model.

Like how VMware rocked the industry in 1998 by giving customers freedom of choice, we are giving customers #freedomofcloudchoice. Read more here: https://cloud.vmware.com/
