2024 Recap: Blueground Expands Globally & Flagship Product TBA in 2025

New Markets, New Partners, 20K Homes

In 2024, we surpassed 20,000 homes across 46+ cities, providing more locations and more high-quality choices around the world. Beyond the core units we operate directly, we leveraged our technology and established franchising agreements with distinguished operators to introduce Blueground to 10 global metros—Tokyo, Bangkok, Cairo, Prague, Munich, Riyadh, and more— with a plan to add more than 22,000 franchise units in the future just in these franchise markets.

Our Partner Network also reached 7,000 units in 2024, showcasing the properties of the best furnished rental operators. Their premium homes are now part of Blueground’s offering, ready to be booked for business or leisure.

We also launched Blueground On-Demand, enabling guests to secure fully-furnished homes in virtually any U.S. city, including traditionally underserved regions. Our goal is to expand this service to more than 1,000 cities, delivering furnished rentals on-demand—anywhere!

We’re targeting 50,000+ homes worldwide. This growth will come from our own inventory, franchisees, and partners, carefully vetted to ensure quality. Our goal: a consistent, trusted experience in every major city.

A Game-Changing Living Product Coming in 2025

Having personally stayed in Blueground apartments for over eight years, I’ve often wondered why furnished rentals aren’t more common for longer stays. My experiences have shaped our mission to redefine long-term renting and enable new ways of living. Without the constraints of multi-year leases and furniture ownership, people can be more mobile, flexible and experience more of the world. Our research shows that flexible renters—up to 10% of the market—are ready for a long-term furnished living solution. 

This is not something new, already more than half our revenue comes from 6+ month stays. However, we know there’s untapped demand that loves our product but wants a lower priced alternative. In 2025, we’ll introduce a furnished living product at just $250/month above unfurnished rent. Here’s what makes it a pioneering product:

Cost plus ($250/ month) and fully transparent pricing: All landlord contracts and bills shared with our renters.

Flexibility: Switch homes or “freeze” contracts as plans change.

All-inclusive convenience: Fully equipped homes, professional cleaning, and seamless move-ins.

Added perks: Free weekend getaways and support for lifestyle needs like mail handling and storage.
