2023 'The Year of Me': A Year of Self-Discovery and Empowerment
Happy New Year! I hope it's off to a great start so far :)
The past Office Chat issues focused on dreaming big and defining who you are. I'll continue to stress these two topics as I have my IRL Office Chats and write this newsletter. This issue will be no different! I'm dubbing this year, "The Year of Me," and I'm dropping words of wisdom and reminders to help you live your best life in 2023!

WORDS OF WISDOM:
1 | Keep Your Blinders On. Always.
"Not to be done perfectly. F**k it up. Start and stop. Just do something." ~ Todd Baratz
When you live life on the edge (whatever the edge looks like for you), many people will try to stop you. These people can't see your vision, so don't let them distract you from your goals, keep going!
2 | Listen To Your Inner Child.
Treat life like your own personal Lego set. ~ Deja White
There's something so refreshing about moving through life like a curious child. Most children let their imaginations take them where they want to be, and they figure out how to creatively make it happen. As an adult, you need to do the exact same them.
3 | Dream Big & Then Dream Even Bigger.
"It feels scary because it's unfamiliar, not because I'm incapable.” ~ Anonymous
It's always easier to dream small. But that doesn't help you or anyone. Think of the impact that you can make just by dreaming BIG, and then going out and accomplishing those goals. Be responsible and strategic about your moves, but dream big and then do even bigger things!

A LIST OF REMINDERS:
- Stop staying silent. Stand up for yourself and move through life with confidence. No one is better than anyone in this life.
- Stop saying yes to things that you really want to say no to. We live in an abundant world. Opportunities will always be there. Say yes to the ones that energize you.
- Stop telling little white lies. It doesn't make the situation any better, and the truth always comes out eventually.
- Stop adding LOL, hehe, and jk to the end of your messages. Say what you mean, and mean what you say without hiding it.
- Stop being ashamed of who you are and what you like. We're all weird and complex beings. Live your truth, don't hide it, and don't allow others to shame you into hiding the things that make you unique.
- Stop being judgemental. We're all doing the best that we can. Be kind to yourself and others.
- Stop keeping everything inside. Go to therapy, start a journal or find someone to vent to. You have to figure out which method of letting go works for you.
- Stop holding grudges. You have 1 day to cry and be angry about whatever/whoever messed you over but after that move on.
- Stop overthinking and holding yourself back. Most people know exactly what they need to do to get to where they want to be. Take the first step and then keep going until you reach your goals.
- Stop forcing things. If something works after trying, great. If it doesn't, it's okay to move on.
- Stop thinking it's too late. It's never too late and you're never too late. What's meant for you is meant for you, and everything happens when it's supposed to.
