It is highly efficient in importing data at high speeds directly into inexpensive cloud storage. The data can be distributed across multiple systems and is not constrained by system size, allowing for increased processing power and data capacity with the addition of more hardware. ColumnStore is a flexible data warehouse, supporting denormalized or star/snowflake schemas. It is easy to use due to standard SQL support, requiring minimal administrative overhead as indexes are not used.
