This week we had the joy of gathering online with members of the Roots & Rivers Ecosystem 🌱 Each quarter we connect with members of our ecosystem, this includes long-time collaborators and folks we are just getting to know, to strengthen our network, share updates and and learn from each other. This summer, we focused on: 👋 Getting to know each other: Each ecosystem call is an opportunity to introduce great people to each other. We're grateful that our community is open to sharing both professional and personal facets of themselves. We're lucky to know so many talented facilitators, strategists, designers and researchers who are also backcountry enthusiasts, dancers, cyclists and parents. 💡 What's inspiring us: Transition was a big theme at our most recent gathering. Folks have completed contracts, are starting new roles, have recently moved or graduated. While transitions are complex times, they offer a glimpse into an exciting future. ⛱ How we're resting: It's summer! A time where good weather and lining up time off with friends and family draw us away from our phones and laptops. We heard about many different kinds of rest that folks are taking this season from baking bread and staying present through play to taking breaks from scheduled activities and journaling on the beach. I looked through my late dad's diary and I found something that hit me so hard. I’ve never shared this before on LinkedIn. Every year since 2012, we hold a memorial in his remembrance. In preparation for this year, I visited my family home, and while looking through his archives, I found his old journal.
