#100daysofwriting #day51 #Comparison After writing about a word for my elder child suddenly I realized that I did not get any words from the younger one and that is where this comparison word struck my mind as they always compare each other. Life is sometimes comparable to everything that comes before us. We must make sure we don't fall into a trap as it could mislead our intentions in a different direction. விழுப்பேற்றின் அஃதொப்ப தில்லையார் மாட்டும் அழுக்காற்றின் அன்மை பெறின் No blessing is so great as a nature That is free from all envy. Envy is a comparison made to attain the stuff that is with others which are liked by us. This is what comparing others leads to. Instead be happy with what you have and never compare anything of yours to anyone. Life is a miraculous ride why waste time in any silly comparisons. Are those out there who think writing is an overrated skill? The only people you should be paying attention to, all talk about writing as the most important skill you could have. People like Dan Koe here, Nicolas Cole, Dickie Bush, Justin Welsh, etc. Most people here on LinkedIn probably, already have or should have Dan Koe in their network here. Especially aspiring writers. For those of us who are likely to overthink things, and overlook the skill of writing, the names i mentioned above, have a tendency to reel us back in when we doubt the necessity for writing. Anything we do everyday in some form or another will get overlooked and undervalued. The most respected influencers often espose writing and the ability writing has to change the world. I personally find i need to be reminded of the importance of writing daily, so as to improve and clear my mind of muttled thoughts. As Gordon Gekko said in Wall Street, “it clarifies, cuts through and captures……” Although he wasnt talking about writing, i think of that quote when i think about writing.

Advocating for ourselves is scary as f*ck. Doing something different than everyone else around us is hard, because as human beings we are biologically wired to prioritize belonging. I’m going to share a personal story that applies to something I see a lot in my business. My best friend from high school never went to college. And not because she couldn’t get in. She applied and was accepted to the university I went to. There was only one hurdle: she needed an updated transcript from the guidance office. She never did it. I don’t know why my friend never went to the guidance office. To this day, I don’t know if my former bestie regrets her decision, or is happy with how her life turned out. What I do know is that sometimes, it can be the right decision to not leap.   To stop progressing forward on our dreams or what other people think we should do (even if that’s your best friend). Sometimes we learn we want something different out of life after all. But what’s not OK is giving up on your dream because you don’t see instant results.   👉Or because other people doubt you and question what you’re doing.   👉Or because you’re turning excuses into reasons to quit (I see this a lot). Because the truth is, no one will care more about your dream than you do.   Allow yourself the time and support you need to create your dreams in a sustainable way. In a way that works for YOU. First things first, everyone has their own time, run at yours, not in someone else’s illusion. So far you're doing it at your best, you're never a failure—unless you quit trying. Wait, think about this! These people you want to lose yourself about, Do you know where and how they started, do you know what they have as resources (which you might not have) and do you know what they want to be? Why try to fit into their pace instead of figuring out who you are, what you want, and how to become it most perfectly? Every time, you think about yourself as a failure because you think someone somewhere (especially on social media) is doing better than you, or seeing them appear better, you question your self-belief and belittle yourself, forgetting they started somewhere, been through many things too or just appear on social media to look elegant. Don't look down on yourself and never question how great you could be, don't be a victim of illusion—see yourself as the great person you want to become and become it perfectly without questioning your greatness.
