Dating apps are booming, but so is loneliness. Greatest modern-day irony! Research even suggests dating apps can be downright addictive, leaving us more isolated than connected. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? ↳ As dating gets more accessible, the number of relationships go up? If we don't tackle this, we'll end up as a generation where being alone and unhappy is the norm. The solution is not in swiping more people right on dating apps. It lies in understanding dating in & out. It's about knowing what you truly want & how to filter through crowd. We need to shift from pursuing short-term flings to building meaningful, lasting relationships. How do you think we can combat loneliness in the age of dating apps & casual relationships? #relationships #dating #sulekhalal

Looking for Love Online? 8 Things People Often Lie About on Dating Apps! While online dating offers a quick and convenient way to connect, where with just a swipe you can decide who you want to match or chat with, it brings the world of dating right to your fingertips. This straightforward process might lead many to believe that using dating apps guarantees finding a partner—after all, with so many users, there must be someone right for everyone. However, as a matchmaker, I can tell you that this is a common misconception about online dating platforms. Additionally, these apps are often filled with “embellishments,” where people frequently lie to enhance their profiles. Everyone wants to look attractive and interesting, which can fuel ongoing deception on dating apps. @BangkokMatching #MatchDay #thaidating #thailanddating #bangkokdating #dating #Matching2024 #FirstDates https://lnkd.in/di7x7rPe

Why are dating apps so bad for our health? Did you know that 56% of adults strongly dislike them, according to Survey Monkey? It's ironic, right? These apps are supposed to help us find love, yet they're leaving us more frustrated and isolated. The problem? They're gamified to keep us hooked. Endless swiping, superficial profiles, and addictive features - these apps aren't really about finding love; they're about keeping us as customers. But don't lose hope. If you're still using dating apps, try these tips: ✨ Set a time limit for how long you use them. ✨ Know your deal breakers, but be open to everything else. Focus on genuine connections, not just the next swipe. ✨ Look beyond the photos; there's SO much more to someone than their picture. ✨ Get a friend, an assistant, or even a matchmaker (wink wink - Lyons Elite Matchmaking) to help you out. ✨ Sign up for the Pairus waitlist for an something that is set to solve all of these issues. Dating should be fun. If it's not, take a break and come back with a fresh perspective. #DatingApps #TrueLove #Relationships #LoveSickWorld

5 rules to using dating apps...📱 Dating apps are a significant part of modern dating, with over 300 million users worldwide and nearly 40% of couples meeting online! It’s important to use them mindfully, here’s how: 1. Use them as a tool, not a crutch: still strike up conversations in real life and be open to new people talking to you 2. Only use them for defined periods of time - explore the dating pool for a period of time, find what you’re looking for, and then get off the apps 3. It’s not a game, these are real people with feelings and emotions - stop treating each other as disposable 4. Set realistic expectations for what you’re looking for in a relationship and don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself 5. Don’t take rejection personally; basically not everyone will be a good match, and it’s not a reflection of your worth 💯 Follow me for lifestyle & wellbeing content! #bodalia #performancetips #datingapps #dating

No need to panic! there’s plenty of room for both dating apps and matchmakers! Matchmakers often love to criticize dating apps, but you rarely hear apps doing the same in return. The truth is, both have their place. With around 75 million users on Tinder alone (not to mention thousands of other apps and new ones launching constantly), it’s clear that dating apps aren’t going anywhere. But here’s the thing people who use apps often aren’t the same folks who turn to matchmakers, and vice versa. In fact, apps can absolutely work. I’ve got proof in two of my own four kids! At the end of the day, it’s simple: let singles decide what works best for them. There’s room for everyone in the dating world! What say you ? #GEEKmeetapp #datinapp #matchmakers #geeksnerds

Why ANOTHER dating app? 🤔 Every few months, a new dating app appears, and it’s fair to wonder—what’s the point? If you've been single lately, you probably get it: the current apps just aren’t working. Despite the endless swiping and chatting, people are still struggling to find real-life connections. There’s a missing piece, a solution that actually helps people find each other. The truth is, we’ll keep seeing more dating apps until one finally fills that gap. That’s where Melt | Meet your match IRL comes in. We’re taking on the pitfalls of online dating by ditching the online-first approach altogether. Melt matches people face-to-face, in real time, when they’re already out and ready to meet. We all know it only takes a few minutes in person to know if there's a spark worth pursuing. So why stay stuck in the swipe-chat-ghost cycle? With Melt, we’re bringing dating back to what it should be: real, spontaneous, and genuinely IRL. What do you think?

Why am I obsessed with dating apps? 👇🏽 I've tested every dating app out there. Not because I was looking for 'the one'. (Sorry, Mom) But because I'm looking at how they're messing with our heads. How these apps supposedly built on human connection... keep failing at human connection. Sure, 50% of couples meet online now. But at what cost? The dating industry is worth $7.5B because: - They've mastered keeping us hooked - They've monetized our loneliness - They've gamified human connection And yet... all of my friends still hate using them. (Even the ones who accidentally found love there) Something's not adding up. Maybe success rates aren't the real metric. Maybe we're measuring the wrong thing entirely. More thoughts coming on why dating apps are simultaneously working and breaking us. What's your take: Are dating apps evolving us or just keeping us swiping? Are we headed towards AI-powered hyper-personalization, or back to the basics of human connection? #Dating #HumanConnection #ModernLove"
