Reflecting on my recent travels, I couldn't help but notice the stark differences between the 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 and the 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗶 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆. 🛣️🚗🚧 The Normal Road, characterized by excessive traffic and chaos, often leaves one feeling lost in the rush, with little semblance of order. On the other hand, the Samruddhi Highway is a different story altogether. Here, only the determined and focused individuals, those with clear goals and unwavering dedication, tread the path. The absence of the usual hustle and bustle is a testament to the commitment of those on this road. These contrasting experiences served as a valuable reminder of the importance of clarity, perseverance, and staying true to one's chosen path. In a world full of distractions and disruptions, it is crucial to remain focused on our goals, even when the journey gets tough. What are your thoughts on the matter? Have you encountered similar insights during your travels? @𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿 #travellearnings #lifeexperience #transportation #sundaythoughts #linkedinvoice #storyteller

Life Lessons from the Mahabharata: Timeless Wisdom for Today's World In the epic tale of the Mahabharata, we find more than just a story; we discover profound life lessons that resonate even in our modern lives. 1. Stand Up for Righteousness (Dharma): Arjuna's struggle on the battlefield of Kurukshetra teaches us the importance of standing up for what is right, even when the odds are stacked against us. In our careers and personal lives, we must strive to uphold our principles and fight for justice. 2. The Power of Resilience: The Pandavas faced countless hardships and betrayals, yet they never gave up. Their resilience is a powerful reminder that setbacks are temporary. With perseverance, we can overcome any challenge. 3. Wisdom of Patience: Lord Krishna's guidance to Arjuna emphasizes the virtue of patience. In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get frustrated. Patience allows us to see things clearly and make better decisions. 4. Importance of Self-Discipline: Bhishma's vow of celibacy and unwavering commitment to his principles highlight the power of self-discipline. Success often requires sacrifices and staying true to our goals. 5. The Value of Teamwork: The Pandavas' victory was a result of their unity and strategic collaboration. In the workplace, fostering teamwork and leveraging each team member's strengths can lead to greater success. These timeless lessons from the Mahabharata are not just ancient wisdom but practical guides for leading a fulfilling and successful life. How do you deepen your connection and trust? It was the evening of our flight back — three legs of travel, 24 hours, 3 different airports and at least as many time zones. I had organized a last-minute farewell gathering when we set out on this epic trip and now sent out the same invitation for the way back — Aysha Teja accepted the invitation to welcome us home. Connection was a core value throughout the trip. Connection between me and my tent mate / ‘soul sister’ Betsy Bowen. Connection in shared values and experience with our broader group. Connection to loved ones at home. Connection to the Samburu and Masai guides that protected us with their wisdom in the wild. To find my way to reintegrate home in a way that felt grounded and secure, I found the need to regain connection and friendship with meaningful people here. Aysha was that person — a former client and now friend who is making meaning in the world by pursuing a path to address the problem of disconnection and loneliness. So, it felt especially wonderful to be welcomed home by her over a wonderful meal and the sharing of stories. Connection is powerful. How are you connecting with the people around you? How are you supporting connection for yourself? My favourite way to deepened connection is to ask, “Tell me a story”. If you use that this week, let me know how that goes for you. #connection #trust #story #coaching

🌟 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮: 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 🌟 After more than a year, I finally got the chance to visit 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮 , my family home and the sacred land where the great Mahabharata took place. Being there after so long was truly special. Standing on the grounds where epic battles were fought, I felt a deep sense of connection, as if the place itself had healing powers. My visit to 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗿,known for its spiritual significance, left me feeling calm and recharged. 🌸 *क्या हमने कभी सोचा है कि युद्ध सिर्फ बाहर नहीं होता, अंदर भी होता है?* In the IT sector, we are constantly battling deadlines, pressure, and complex challenges. But just like Arjuna's internal struggle in the 𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗮, we too must fight our own battles, balancing work with inner peace. One quote from the 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗮 that struck me during this trip: *"कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन"* (You have the right to perform your duties, but not the fruits of your actions.) This resonates so deeply with our work in IT. We often get so caught up in the outcomes, whether a project succeeds or fails, but the true essence lies in the effort and dedication we bring to our work. The outcome may not always be in our control, but our hard work never goes to waste. 🚀 Visiting my family home and reconnecting with Kurukshetra after so long was a reminder to slow down, reflect, and keep focusing on the process—not just the results. क्या आपने कभी ऐसा अनुभव किया है? Have you ever found peace in unexpected places, or had lessons from the past guide you in your professional journey? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 😊 #Kurukshetra #Mahabharata #FamilyHome #InnerPeace #ITLessons #BhagavadGita #WorkAndLife #Productivity #GrowthMindset #BrahmaSarovar

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Verse 13 देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा। तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति।। dehino'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā tathā dehāntaraprāptir dhīras tatra na muhyati देहिनः (dehinaḥ) - of the embodied अस्मिन् (asmin) - in this यथा (yathā) - as देहे (dehe) - in the body कौमारं (kaumāram) - childhood यौवनं (yauvanaṁ) - youth जरा (jarā) - old age तथा (tathā) - similarly देहान्तरप्राप्तिः (dehāntaraprāptiḥ) - obtaining another body धीरः (dhīraḥ) - the wise तत्र (tatra) - there न (na) - never मुह्यति (muhyati) - deluded As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change. This verse illustrates the transitory nature of life and the inevitability of death. Just as a person experiences physical changes from childhood to old age, the soul undergoes the process of transmigration, moving from one body to another after death. The verse emphasizes the importance of maintaining clarity and wisdom in understanding the cycle of life and death. In the corporate realm, change is inevitable – positions shift, roles evolve, companies merge, and industries transform. However, it's crucial not to let these fluctuations disturb your inner equilibrium. Just as in life's journey, where we transition from one phase to another, from youth to old age, similarly, in the corporate world, individuals may move from one role to another, from one company to another. The wise understand that these changes are part of the natural course of things and remain steadfast amidst them. They embrace change as an opportunity for growth and learning, rather than letting it disrupt their peace of mind. By embodying this perspective, leaders inspire resilience and adaptability in themselves and their teams, fostering a culture where change is seen as a chance for innovation and progress, rather than a source of anxiety.
