Starting summer 2026, Aria Hotels will use BETA TECHNOLOGIES’ Alia-250 eVTOL aircraft to connect visitors to Greece’s hard-to-reach destinations. Greek hospitality group Aria Hotels has already invested €50M in developing eVTOL infrastructure in the country and has now ordered 10 of Beta’s eVTOL aircraft. “We are working closely with the Aria Hotels team—including some on-site visits to Beta—as we start to work on the next phase of implementation,” a Beta Technologies spokesperson told Zag Daily. “This will include aircraft operations and infrastructure installation to make sure their first locations are ready for service launch.” #AAM #ZagAir Read more: Read more: https://lnkd.in/eadgbWFg

eVTOL Industry New Markets and Models The eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) industry has traditionally focused on urban commuting and air taxis. However, a new trend is emerging: aerial tourism. As highlighted in this article https://buff.ly/3LqPzTn, eVTOL companies are increasingly recognizing the potential of aerial tourism as an early use case. Here's Why: 🚀 Less demanding requirements: Tours are more flexible than commutes regarding scheduling and luggage capacity. 🚀 Competitive pricing potential: Without the pressure to compete with low-cost ground transportation, aerial tours could offer a premium experience at a potentially competitive price point. 🚀 Environmental benefits: eVTOLs are quieter and potentially cleaner than traditional helicopters, addressing noise pollution concerns in tourist destinations. On some European routes plane can be faster and cheaper than train. There are also some where plane is just tad more expensive, but much faster. There is still place for Aviation, even on short/medium range routes.
