🎄✨ Celebrating the Season of Joy at Yusen Logistics Romania! 🎁🎅
Last week, we hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration for over 80 children of our wonderful colleagues! 🥳 With the incredible help of our HR Team, we created an event that everyone—both kids and adults—agreed was the highlight of the year! 🌟
The day was packed with laughter, from exciting games and activities to a mesmerizing magician who amazed us all. And, of course, Santa made a special appearance, spreading holiday cheer and handing out gifts to every child. 🎅🎁
These moments remind us of the importance of togetherness and the joy that comes with the holiday season. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this celebration unforgettable! ❤️

Hey everyone! 🌟 Have you ever noticed that it's actually gratitude that brings us true happiness? When we focus on being thankful, joy naturally follows. Instead of waiting to feel happy to be grateful, let's flip the script and let gratefulness lead the way to our happiness.
Let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible gift of life we've all been given. Every day is a new opportunity filled with endless possibilities and little miracles that we often overlook. Whether it's a sunny day, a kind gesture from a stranger, or simply the air we breathe, there's so much to be thankful for. 💕 Let's make it a habit to acknowledge these blessings and let that gratitude fill our hearts.
As we step into November, let's embrace this new month with open arms and a grateful spirit. 💙 It's the perfect time to reflect on all the good in our lives and spread positivity wherever we go. By focusing on what we have rather than what we lack, we'll find that happiness isn't as elusive as it sometimes seems.

Christmas Eve has always been my favourite night of the year, and in Poland, it’s celebrated with a beautiful tradition that’s all about gratitude and connection.
When the first star appears in the sky, families gather to share heartfelt wishes with one another while breaking and sharing 𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘬 (Christmas wafers). Each person takes a moment to tell others why they’re grateful for them this year and what they wish for them in the year ahead.
This tradition has always been magical to me, but this year, it feels even more meaningful.
2024 brought unexpected challenges, including losing a job I thought I’d always have. But through it all, I’ve learned how gratitude can transform tough times into moments of growth and clarity. It reminds us of the people who lift us up, the lessons we’ve learned, and the hope that keeps us moving forward.
This Christmas, I want to share that spirit of gratitude with you:
👉 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿? 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱?
Let’s celebrate the season by reflecting on the wins we’ve had, big or small, and sharing inspiration for a stronger year ahead.
🎄 Wesołych Świąt! Merry Christmas to all! 🎄

Not only are we celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2024, we're also celebrating team member Alex's 25 year work anniversary at Imperial. What an achievement! 🎉 We caught up with Alex to ask about her experiences in the Polythene industry and what's on her playlist!
🟩What are some of the most significant changes you've witnessed in the industry during your 25 years at IPP?
Lots of changes over the years! Raw material costs have changed a great deal. The cost of British manufacturing has increased hugely. Polythene bags have become somewhat more technical than they ever were before. I've witnessed how Imperial have moved with the times over the past 25 years, innovating & adapting to the constant evolving requirements of the Polythene industry / market & the customers needs.
🟩You're a huge music fan! What 3 albums would you take with you if you were stuck on an island?
Very tricky to answer that one! Dark Side of the Moon combined with Wish you were here - Pink Floyd, Different Class - Pulp & Rumours - Fleetwood Mac. These choices could change daily though as so difficult to choose just 3!
Want to talk bags or music? Get in touch with Alex via email at: sales@imperialpolythene.co.uk 📨

As someone who works for a US-based company but grew up in India, this time of year always feels a little extra meaningful. Thanksgiving isn’t a festival I knew much about growing up, but over the years, it’s become something I’ve really come to appreciate. It’s not just about the food (though that’s definitely a big part 🤤), but about pausing to be thankful for everything and everyone in your life.
It reminds me of Lohri, a festival back home where we gather around a bonfire with loved ones, celebrate the harvest, and express gratitude for life’s blessings. The similarities between the two festivals are hard to miss—and honestly, they make me love them both even more.
For me, these two celebrations have become moments to reflect on everything I have to be thankful for—both personally and at work. Thanksgiving connects me to the culture I work in, while Lohri keeps me rooted in my own. Together, they remind me to appreciate the big and small blessings in life.
This year, I’m feeling especially grateful for:
- My family, who are my biggest source of strength
- My team, who make work exciting and rewarding
- The opportunities I’ve had to learn, grow, and connect across cultures.
Lohri and Thanksgiving may come from different parts of the world, but for me, they share the same beautiful reminder: Stop. Look around. Be thankful for the people, moments, and experiences that make life special.
What are you feeling thankful for this year?

I think this is a lovely connective post from Steven Bartlett.
We FEEL bad before we start making positive changes that makes us feel better.
The role of cortisol (our stress hormone) in this case, makes us feel bad because it’s prompting us to do something differently.
A different job that’s maybe more fulfilling? More social connection? A more balanced life of work, rest, play?
Our chemicals are messengers so when we pay attention to the messages and then take action rather than ignoring them, one day you’ll look back and realise that feeling low was the pivotal turning point… where it all started.

Not so many years ago, I was working in a LateRooms.com call centre in Manchester on Christmas Day, booking people into hotel rooms. I went home after that shift to a small room in mossside, on my own.
I remember feeling pretty low as I scrolled through Instagram, seeing how seemingly perfect everyone else’s Christmas Day appeared.
It only seemed to magnify the areas of my life that were lacking, making me feel inadequate, unfortunate, and sad.
To those of you who don’t feel great today for any reason: I know exactly how you feel. It’s important to realise that life is lived in seasons, and this is just one season of many in your life. This season will serve to make you feel even more grateful and fortunate when you move into the next one, filled with many of the beautiful things you’re hoping for.
Life can change so quickly. Even within a year, things can look unrecognisably different. I am so thankful for all of my seasons - they all gave me important gifts I could not see at the time. 🎁
If it feels impossible, but inexplicably plausible at the very same moment, that signals our positive and optimistic neurons to fire and wire together —making new channels, pathways, and trails for wonderful neurological growth.
Basically, this helps me feel better about myself and my abilities and capacities to accept the storms and the seasons for what they are —experiences within an abundantly challenging and beautiful Life. Neutral stimuli may simply be observed.
If you are making efforts to feel and think better and create successful, strengthening, progressive, and prosperous loops within your heart, mind, gut, and soul; know that I'm here doing the very same work.
To achieve greater brain to heart, to gut, and back up to brain health, with excellent cognition, emotional self-regulation, and a balanced state of peace, respect, dignity, care, and compassion for yourself and your soul: Please keep going through behavioural change with me and Others.
We can do this and celebrate the fresh wins together: Thank you Steven Bartlett

Planning Christmas activities for both staff and the community can take a lot of work alongside day to day business tasks. We started planning a month ago!
How do you juggle finding time to prepare for Christmas and ensuring day to day business continues as normal? and the big question is, is it ever too early to start? 🎄
As a big Christmas fan, my answer is no, it’s never too early! But between Christmas social media content, client messages, staff Christmas parties, community/charity support and more… time can escape you very quickly!
We like to make sure we have a team involved, rather than it being one person’s responsibility so we can achieve more in a shorter space of time and it remains manageable!
P.S Can you spot what they are making? 👀
