"[Yelp's] ubiquity offers a competitive advantage—not just a well-known brand, but one that many people have reason to visit often. Using Yelp when you’re hankering for Chinese food may help keep it front of mind on those rarer occasions when you have a plumbing disaster or are thinking about getting your roof replaced. Rivals such as Angi, by contrast, have less opportunity to be an ongoing habit." -Fast Company Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gvuZ4Y97

With a busy mom schedule, over the years, I have perfected the "Tidy Up Fast" Method. When my family sees me do this, they often mention that it looks like I am a tornado taking out all the clutter from a room. It's quite a scene. This method will give you a home that is not only organized by also clear of clutter. There is no confusion trying to find items in overflowing drawers with the misplaced items when you tidied up last. Here is how to set up your home, so the Tidy Up Fast Method runs more smoothly and quickly. First, the process starts out with organizing the room, so everything has a home. The toys have a bin large enough to store all the toys, the mail has a container to hold bills and other mail, and a charging station which can hold all the electronics, etc... Then, you will need to add a "temporary holding items" bin on the steps or near the exit of the room for found items. Having one container for each person in your house works best. Make sure every small thing has a home. After you get the room set up, you then move around the room and clear the items (plates, cups, kids' toys, mail, bills, electronics) that were not put away. Look under tables, on top of entertainment centers, inside cabinets, and behind sofas and chairs. If it has a home and it is not in its home, grab it and put it away. No thinking, "where does this item go?" You already know because you took the time, in the beginning, to make a place for this item. Which room and when should you do this Tidy Up Fast Method? Here are three times in your day you can do this. Do the Tidy Up Fast Method in the Living Room and Bedroom before leaving for work in the morning. Do the Tidy Up Fast Method in the Kitchen before going to work and after dinner.Do the Tidy Up Fast Method in the kids' areas, before your kids come home from school Visit the blog for more details. #sabrinasorganizing https://lnkd.in/da-Auzfg #Tips #Quick #Cleaning #clearclutterfast #QuickCleaning

The world of responsive repairs............ I was talking to someone at Housing 2024 last week. We got talking about their perception of Platform Housing Group and how everything was going really well. "Your repairs team are flying". A classic case of Instagram vs Reality I suppose......... Reflection is imperative to what we do. Identifying what is going wrong and where our struggles are, helps us to drive the change needed to improve services. A view at the end of QTR 1; The Good 😃 - 40,377 Completed repairs across our responsive repairs team. - 7.69 Hours to complete an emergency repair. - 90.9% Of all repairs measured as a right first time repair, complete right first time. - Customer satisfaction with; Platform Housing Group customers 85.7%. Rooftop Housing Group customers 85.3% Stonewater customers - 95.4%. The areas of challenge; - Demand on repairs volumes are up. - This impacting days to complete a repair. - Shortage of skilled workers, impacting the ability to meet the increased demand. - Increase in complaint volumes. - The struggle to meet increased demand, manage customer expectations, whilst trying to balance budget (Sub-contractor costs) are some of the key issues we are currently facing.......Sound familiar? We're not perfect, and face similar struggles to so many others across the sector. This is the true reality of the position we're in. The optimist in me knows we'll get there.........How can we not with the team we have. Have a good Friday all, we're in it together. #socialhousing #repairsandmaintenance #responsiverepairs #customersatisfaction.

Yelp’s 2024 State of Services report highlights significant growth in the home services sector, with an 11% increase in new businesses, driven by demand for home improvements and pet services. Meanwhile, Google is cracking down on fake reviews, introducing stricter penalties to protect consumers. This emphasizes the need for businesses to maintain a transparent and authentic online presence. Stay ahead of these trends to boost local visibility and trust.

Here it goes - first official LinkedIn post announcing the launch and marketing of SearchHomeAppliances.com. The site is like Google on steroids. Its built like a utility plant, and about as attractive, but it gets the job done. I don't think there is another internet site with as many brands of air purifiers, air fryers, coffee makers, etc. in one place that I have ever seen. (Also - no ads and no tracking) The site also follows the rule of measure twice and cut once. It takes a few seconds longer to search than some other search tools out there, but 100% of the search results meet your search criteria, so you don't have to waste time sorting through unwanted results. The goal is to expand to home improvement, furniture, electronics, and beyond, but I need your feedback to gauge interest and help me develop the product further. So, if you have a little time and want to check it out, just jump on https://lnkd.in/ewUgQkT4 and let me know what you think. Thanks, Brian Hare

Picture this moment... you're sat at home after a hard days work enjoying a refreshing beverage maybe the latest Netflix obsession. When suddenly there's a shout from the other room! The bathroom's sprung a leak! Water's spouting all over the place going everywhere but the one place you want it. You snatch your phone from your pocket and start Googling for help. Ah! There we go! An emergency construction company ready to build you a new house in just a few months. But wait...that's not right. Why would you rebuild your whole house because of a leak? No no no, what this job needs is a plumber. Someone who can come in... identify the cause of the leak and fix it. Simple as that. Yet for some reason so many brands opt for the rebuild and not the fix. In 8/10 cases we look at the website doesn't need a re-design it just needs a few tweaks here and there to be more customer-centric. But most brands don't even know where to begin. Honestly, the answer is pretty simple... Listen to your customers. Understand how they think and understanding what they need to see on your website to convince them to make a purchase. So how can you gather this insight? Fortunately, we just put our customer research process into one document outlining how you can gather feedback from... - Review mining - Customer service analysis - Feedback surveys - Customer interviews and loads of practical tips for implementing all the above.
