You need people on your team who you can trust. Who want to see you/your org succeed. Who push people out of their comfort zones in a positive way and move everyone toward their goals. Get yourself an Ashley Amber Sava. (As in, hire her, or, make sure you have an "Ashley" on your team-- professionally and personally). Ashley is: - Creative - Smart - Witty - Supportive - Curious - Determined - Clever - Focused - Flexible Not everyone will be fortunate enough to have the actual #ThatAshleyAmber on their team, but I feel fortunate to have her as part of my circle. So, if you're #hiring in #contentmarketing, #communications, or #community, check out Ashley's profile. And make sure that your personal and professional network are filled with people who help you be better and support you through the challenges that personal and professional life will throw at you.

I got two words for ya. Community and Positioning. Searching for a job? Build a community. Trying to build a product? Ask the relevant community. Seeking purpose in life? Surround yourself in community. And when you find a good job? Position yourself to be successful. And when you built that awesome product? Position it so people can buy it. And when you find something worth pursuing? Position yourself to let amazing things happen to you. Big news next week. #community #positioning

My time at Worth Rises has ended, and I’m excited to announce that I’m officially launching my marketing and design business full-time—a dream I’ve been strategically building for years. The foundation of my work has always centered on fostering meaningful conversations through media, design, and strategic communication. It’s about empowering deeper connections—with ourselves, our audiences, and our communities. I’m not sure if you’ve been reading the room lately, but audiences expect more from companies, organizations, and individuals. They demand values-driven action and integrity. The old ways of extractive marketing tactics and surface-level storytelling don’t work in today’s landscape. People are more discerning than ever. They want to connect with brands, missions, and people who truly stand for something. They want stories that resonate, relationships built on trust, and experiences that feel real—not transactional. So, if you’re: + Ready to step outside the traditional marketing box and embrace new ways to connect with your audience + Tired of extractive marketing tactics that leave you feeling icky and disconnected from your own mission + Eager to tell your story in a way that speaks directly, clearly, and powerfully to the people you want to reach + Committed to building a community that trusts and values your work Let’s connect! Finally, I want to spotlight my colleagues from Worth Rises—exceptional professionals who have also moved on—Alyssa Ackbar, Andrew Lama, Dana Floberg, Joseph G., Morgan Duckett, and Stefen Short. They specialize in corporate accountability, legislative/policy, government relations, and litigation, and I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re hiring, these are the sharp, talented minds you want on your team. More to come! Thank you, everyone, for your support. x, Kashara

TL;DR: Goodbye NY & Hello LA! 👋🏽 Last month, I unexpectedly found myself back in California earlier than anticipated. I am proud of everything I accomplished at my most recent place of employment, including completing my MS degree with straight A’s while working full-time. 🍎 Some other highlights include: 🏆 Getting recognized with a bonus within my first 3 months for outstanding performance 🏈 Facilitating successful community management campaigns (exceeding client expectations) such as Super Bowl LVIII and Coachella 2024 (on-site both weekends) + more 📈 Developing and implementing community management systems and processes, resulting in elevated output that steadily increased month over month (over a 6 month period) 🗓️Efficiently managing a robust content calendar including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube Community Tab, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and Twitter/X (300+ pieces of content monthly) 🌟 Mentoring and managing the daily workflow of the community management team 👩🏻💻Providing routine qualitative and quantitative analysis in order to iterate on strategic learnings I am now considering remote/ hybrid Los Angeles based digital roles including but not limited to: community management, strategy, experiential, and internet culture/ trends. 😎 I’d love to lean on my community for support during this time, whether it’s sending a role you’d think I’d be a great fit for, making an introduction, connecting online or IRL for a coffee chat, or simply sending an affirmation while I go through the big life changes ahead of me. 💚 I love what I do and I am looking forward to exploring what’s next for me. May the odds be ever in my favor during this job search 🙏🏽 #losangeles #socialmediamarketing #digitalmarketing #communitymanagement #brandsocial #socialstrategy #internetculture #experientialmarketing #digitalstrategy

Three persons in One... ...I thought hard on what to write about today. Since I've made Monday an introduction day for me, what do I introduce to you today? As a lady, I'm a different personality on the different social media platforms I operate on and this is intriguing. Let's talk about them. 1. On YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, I am a growing fashion model. I create, edit and post model walk and fashion related videos for my audience. 2. On Snap Inc. and Twitter, I am a bench warmer. Planning to leverage them into my modeling career though, but that's by the way. 3. Finally, LinkedIn: Here on LinkedIn, I'm featuring as a virtual administrative and personal assistant. My job as a virtual assistant include; Project and task management on CRM softwares and vice versa. Social Media Management; regular content creation and post publishing, article writing, creation of social media post calendar, active engagement. Travel management, etc. Need someone to get these done for you, send a direct message. Wahdoh❣

It might be rude to you but it is a fact (sorry for that) "Ready to Take Comments, but Not Ready to Give Genuine Replies?" Engagement isn't a one-way street. If you’re out there seeking comments and engagement on your posts but can’t find the time to offer genuine replies, you're missing the point. 👉 It’s not just about receiving; it’s about giving too. A quick “Thanks for the comment” won’t cut it. What about building actual relationships? What about sharing value through conversations? 💡 If you expect engagement, be ready to engage back. Don’t just fish for comments—offer real responses, add value, and build meaningful connections. Stop treating LinkedIn like a billboard. Start treating it like the networking powerhouse it really is. Do you agree? How do you handle engagement on your posts? Drop your thoughts below! 👇

As a Community Specialist (and I say specialist, because CM just doesn't cover the full scope) what you should expect as your company's FIRST Community hire 👇 Pt.1 - First things first - the JD might say Community Manager, but you will be so much more. In many cases, for first hires, you're either going to build the Community from 0 or inherit a semi-functional one. It will require more in-depth knowledge of the industry and you need to be ready for that. - You'll be the Community Manager, Strategist, Engagement, Content, Operations, Moderator and you'll have to take on the very important role of breaking misconceptions regarding what Community is and should be, and advocate for what Community really is. - If you're going to build a community from the ground up, please COMMUNICATE that it will take time, especially if that's going to be your first experience of the kind. Better do a great job, than a rushed one. If you've inherited something, it should take less time, but still it will take time to set up the right process, do an audit, review or even write the strategy. It's hard work! - You'll need to set expectations. The biggest issues arise when there are different expectations or ideas of what Community success looks like, it should always be quality over quantity, steady growth and healthy engagement (and metrics tailored to the type of community you're building). - Please remember to talk about your wins. Showcase examples of success, the little milestones, community involvement and support with other departments and the initiatives. There are many more points to add to this, so I think I'll do another part. Please share your experience and thoughts in the comments. #CommunityManagement #CommunityManager #CommunitySpecialist #Community
