Summit Day 2 for me. I learned a lot from my fellow Workfront experts. So much info that I have to take a few days to process it all. For now, here are a couple of thoughts churning in my Rube Goldberg machine that is my brain: 🔍 Keep It Simple, Silly: Big ideas are great, but starting small is key to big changes. Take Fannie Mae, for example. They began with small improvements like setting up request queues for simple social media jobs, and now they're diving deep into Workfront, such as building a robust resource capacity chart and a resource forecasting report. Their journey shows how little steps can lead to big results. 🛠️ Workfront is a Tool, Not a Boss: Workfront works best when it fits how people actually work. While there are rules to keep things organized, it's important to listen to what users need. Change doesn't happen overnight; it takes time and teamwork. That’s all for now! 15 days ago, Chaos tried to crash our party. The scenario:  → New client onboarding  → I'm in a no-network zone  → Team is scattered A week before last, our team was preparing for our first off-site meeting in three years.  Some of us moved countries, others moved cities, all the while doing our daily jobs.   We never let our personal issues interfere with our work, and this time was no different. On the client call, the team stepped up. They delivered the full Carbon Box Media experience. As I barely managed my Slack communication. The client got the smooth onboarding they deserved, with or without me. That's our difference. Quality isn't tied to one person. It's built into our systems. Can your company run without you for a week?

Like you, we're sick of the way Software is priced nowadays. Endless plans, lots of different options and no real sense of how much it actually costs. So we're making our pricing real simple. The way we would want it from others. This article from Atlassian shares the outcomes from an ‘experiment’ to help teams establish a low-cost (actually, no cost!) ritual focused on building connection in a playful, fun way. How does it work? Each week a Chief Vibes Officer (CVO) is appointed and asked to post a light-hearted theme or question in a team channel, using Slack, for example. They answer their own question & invite others to do the same. Some examples… 💡 Would you rather… 💡 What's the best holiday you've ever been on? 💡 If you won the lottery & didn't tell anyone, how would your family and friends be able to tell something was up? What would you buy / do once the money your bank account? In true Atlassian style they measured outcomes, finding that 77 teams signed up. 97% of participants thought the ritual sparked joy, while 87% said it boosted connection with their teammates. 93% felt they learned more about their teammates – and importantly, 87% thought it was fun! Simple, but effective! And a great reminder of the importance of intentional culture building in hybrid or remote first workplaces.
