⚠ It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Technofounders ⚠ Constructing 2 start-ups in the past 6 months has been an incredible adventure... One year ago, I DMed Olivier Le Blainvaux if I could join him and the transformative start-up studio Technofounders. After a few calls and interviews, I arrived in Paris, diving into the Deeptech industry with everything to learn in an engineering environment. I started with the analysis of Auxoway 🌱 (Cold plasma seed treatment) and, with Thibault Gérard arrival, we embarked on a detailed development phase, achieving: - R&D Planning with Auxoway researchers - Industry Outreach: Contacted 100+ experts - Market Analysis to understand industry dynamics - Equity Package Repartition among key stakeholders - Go-To-Market Strategy for an oligopolistic industry - BM with high growth potential - Resource and Exit Planning for the next 24 months I then focused on developing Fertivers 🐛 (Field inoculation of earthworm cocoons in cellulose beads). I developed the solution with the creation team, calculated revenue costs, conducted market research, and much more, aiming to raise €250K for an R&D/Product Development round. And it has been a success! I spent my last months at Technofounders redefining the investment strategy, venture creation process, and sourcing to be more efficient, impactful, and driven for better results in a very competitive environment. 🔝 These 6 months have been a blast, and it is due to the amazing team and mindset that Technofounders has. My time here comes to an end, and I can’t thank the entire Technofounders team enough. Working on such impactful projects has always been a dream of mine, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. I am now ready to be challenged by new projects and eager to keep learning and imagining new ways to redefine the industry.

Thrilled to share that I have successfully completed my Corporate Venture Capital & Business Analytics Remote Externship with HP Tech Ventures and Extern! This experience has been incredibly rewarding, helping me build invaluable skills in venture capital and emerging technologies. During my time with HP Tech Ventures, I gained in-depth knowledge of venture capital fundamentals and entry-level VC roles. I had the opportunity to conduct comprehensive market analysis on AI-enabled productivity tools, and learned HP Tech Ventures' unique approach to investment theses and deal sourcing. One of the most exciting aspects was evaluating multiple deals based on their profit potential and capacity for market disruption. Throughout the externship, I explored various business models, pricing strategies, and startup funding mechanisms, gaining practical insights into the VC ecosystem. Special thanks to my fellow Externs and the team at HP Tech Ventures for this enriching experience Angelo Del Priore Michael G. and Juan Landi. I'm excited to apply my newfound knowledge of VC, market analysis, and emerging tech trends in my future career! #VentureCapital #CorporateVC #TechInnovation #AIProductivity #CareerGrowth

Today, we launched the first-ever DeepTech Napkin! A great report with some surprising implications for DeepTech founders: 🔬 Technical CEOs Raise More: Teams led by technical CEOs without business backgrounds raise significantly more funding at Seed and Series A stages than those led by business CEOs. 💸 Low Revenue at Series A: Only 29% of startups at the Series A stage have achieved repeatable sales and meaningful revenue, showing high investor tolerance for early-stage commercial risk. Great! 👶 Less Industry Experience, More Funds: Founders with less industry experience raise more money across all stages compared to those with extensive industry backgrounds. Check out the full report: https://lnkd.in/dJ2SntZ5 Big shout out to David Meiborg, Dr. Maximilian Ochs, Lena Späth, Reinhardt Karpenko, Michael Ruß for creating this masterpiece! Special thanks to all our VC partners who contributed their data and Dealroom.co for providing validation data.

Deep tech founders + overly technical pitch = CONFUSION And a confused mind doesn't buy (or invest). “There are plenty of really great companies that haven't realized they’re a swan — they still think that they're ugly ducklings, but are not capable of telling that story,” says Massimo Portincaso, chairman of Hello Tomorrow's advisory board. How can deep tech startups create a compelling story? This is the topic I'll be tackling next week at Hello Tomorrow, with a dream panel of experts/founders — Hailey Eustace, Michael Harmon and Amélie Quilichini — who have deep expertise 😉 in creating narratives that attract strategic partners, investment and customers. We're going to cover: - What are some common misconceptions around communicating and branding in deep tech? Why should it be a priority? - How can founders navigate the balancing act between talking about technology and inspiring others with their vision? - How should they adapt their narrative for different audiences? Different phases of growth? What other questions do you have? Put them in the comments below.
